Ho Chi Minh City National University organizes the second round of competency exams

On June 2, Ho Chi Minh City National University held the second round of the competency assessment exam, with the aim of obtaining results for university admission. The exam was held at 34 locations across 14 provinces and cities. In addition to Ho Chi Minh City, the exam locations were also held at the same time in the provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ba Ria Vung Tau, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue, etc.

According to Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of the Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment (Ho Chi Minh City National University), the total number of candidates registered for the second round of the competency assessment exam is 40,455. The total number of candidates taking the exam on the morning of June 2 was 39,034, reaching a rate of 96.48%. There were more than 1,400 absent candidates. In Ho Chi Minh City alone, nearly 21,700 candidates registered for the second round of the exam, the largest number in the country. Some other provinces and cities with many candidates taking the exam include Dong Nai with 2,435 candidates, Da Nang with 2,251 candidates and An Giang with 2,020 candidates.

The time for the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test is from 8:30 to 11:00. Candidates will have to complete 120 multiple-choice questions in 3 parts: language use; Mathematics, logical thinking, data analysis and problem solving.

It is known that in the first round of the competency assessment exam, there were 93,831 candidates taking the exam out of a total of 95,549 registered candidates, reaching a rate of up to 98.2%. In total, this year, the competency assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University had 132,865 candidates taking the exam, the highest number in recent years. The exam results are expected to be announced by the school on June 10.

In recent years, the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam has not only been used by this university and its member universities, but dozens of Southern universities have also used the results as an admission method.
