Now, Samsung has confirmed on the X that it will be holding a developer conference (SDC) on October 3 in San Jose, California (USA). Although it did not directly confirm the launch of One UI 7 at this event, traditionally this is where the company announces the latest update for its mobile devices.
Samsung confirms SDC event date this year, where One UI 7 will be unveiled
After One UI 7 is announced at SDC, Samsung usually rolls out the update to devices soon. Last year, the company introduced One UI 6 on October 5 before rolling it out to users the same month. So, it wouldn't be surprising if One UI 7 starts arriving to Samsung devices in October this year.
As usual, the rollout will be done in stages, meaning not everyone will get it at the same time. The first products to receive this update will be the most recently launched high-end models, then other devices will receive One UI 7 at the appropriate time.
There is very little information about One UI 7 currently, relying mainly on rumors, where reports say it will come with improvements in battery management, new animations, new features for NFC... There are also prominent features of Android 15 that Google announced such as partial screen sharing, private space, better notification management and more security features.
