The report at the conference showed that in 2024, implementing the direction of the Party Committee and the Government Inspector General, Department II has always been proactive in implementing well the assigned tasks; implementing the information and reporting regime in a timely and serious manner, meeting the requirements of the Government Inspectorate's leaders. Timely advising, urging, and synthesizing the results of handling mass and complicated complaints and denunciations; closely and effectively coordinating with the People's Committees and inspectors of the responsible localities and units in the Government Inspectorate.
During the inspection work, at the time of the summary, in addition to the issued conclusions, the Department still has 2 draft inspection conclusions in the final stages for submission for promulgation; and is conducting a surprise inspection at Vietnam Paper Corporation.
Regarding the settlement of complaints and denunciations, Department II has basically completed the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister, ensuring the progress and quality of consulting on handling. The Prime Minister has approved the verification reports and conclusions on complaints and denunciations advised by Department II, and assigned the People's Committees of provinces and cities to implement.
The Department has closely coordinated with the Department of Planning and Synthesis, the Central Citizen Reception Committee and localities in Region 2 to grasp the situation of citizens' complaints and denunciations, promptly advising the leaders of the Government Inspectorate to handle specific cases according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
Regarding the direction and tasks for 2025, according to Director of Department II Nguyen Manh Huong, the Department will continue to perform well the tasks and functions of state management in the assigned area. Regularly monitor and grasp the situation of citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement in the area, report promptly, and serve the direction of the Government Inspectorate leadership.
In addition, help localities and inspectors of provinces and cities in region 2 resolve difficulties in inspection work, resolve complaints and denunciations when requested.
In inspection work, continue to inspect the inspections that have been deployed; organize and implement inspections according to the 2025 inspection plan. Reserve personnel to carry out urgent tasks assigned by the Prime Minister.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Government Inspectorate's leadership, Deputy Inspector General Le Tien Dat acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the collective leadership and civil servants of Department II in 2024, especially the consultation on the issuance of inspection conclusions in 2024. Deputy Inspector General Le Tien Dat requested the leaders of Department II to absorb the opinions at the meeting, supplement the report and issue it for effective implementation in 2025.
Emphasizing the results of the work in 2024, Deputy Inspector General Le Tien Dat said that with the efforts of focused leadership, close and drastic direction of the Department's leaders, directly from the Department Director, and the solidarity and unity of all civil servants, the 2024 plan has basically been completed.
In addition to the achieved results, the report as well as the opinions at the meeting frankly pointed out the existing shortcomings and limitations. Deputy Inspector General Le Tien Dat requested that Department II needs to clarify and continue to overcome them in the coming time.
Regarding the direction, tasks and solutions in 2025, Deputy Inspector General Le Tien Dat requested that Department II closely follow the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, especially the Law on Inspection, the Law on Complaints, the Law on Denunciation, and well implement the proposed program and plan.
Deputy Inspector General Le Tien Dat requested that in the inspection work, there must be innovations, thinking and working methods suitable to the new situation with the spirit of ensuring progress and quality. During the inspection process, the content must be summarized as it is done. After the direct inspection is completed, there must be a report of results and a draft of conclusions to ensure the inspection progress is in accordance with regulations.
Accordingly, the inspection process must have a key focus; be strict right from the stage of building the inspection plan, building the results report, and drafting the conclusion; avoid the situation of doing things outside the plan, missing the planned content leading to having to adjust the plan; the conclusion must ensure compliance with regulations, feasibility, and not go into trivial and detailed issues.
In the work of handling complaints and denunciations, Deputy Inspector General Le Tien Dat requested that Department II carry out its advisory work in strict accordance with the provisions of the Law on Complaints, the Law on Denunciations and decrees and circulars. In addition, maintain close and regular relationships with the Provincial Inspectorate and localities for better work efficiency.
In addition to professional work, Deputy Inspector General Le Tien Dat requested that Department II do a good job in internal development. The Party Committee and leaders of the Department continue to do a good job in inspection and supervision, raise the sense of responsibility in work, and complete all assigned tasks in accordance with regulations.
