Planning Department - Summary of work in 2024

Reporting at the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Synthesis Le Quang Linh said that in 2024, the Department of Planning and Synthesis was united, unanimous, proactive, creative, overcame difficulties, and strived to complete assigned tasks well.

Specifically, the leaders and civil servants in the Department always have a firm political stance and ideology, a high spirit of solidarity; the leaders of the Department are exemplary, direct and operate, ensuring publicity, transparency, democracy and compliance with regulations; civil servants in the Department uphold a sense of responsibility and strive to complete assigned tasks well.

In the inspection planning work, proactively advise and submit to the Prime Minister for approval the Inspection Program Orientation; the content has focus and key points. On that basis, advise and guide the inspection of ministries, branches and localities to develop inspection plans and issue the inspection plan of the Government Inspectorate. The development of inspection plans and inspection of the implementation of the Government Inspectorate's inspection plan are carried out methodically, strictly, in accordance with regulations and regularly innovated.

Besides, during the year, the Department had many solutions to strive to complete the program and plan for staff and synthesis work in difficult conditions, especially being proactive, innovating working methods, enhancing coordination, and being flexible in organizing and implementing tasks.

Coordination with functional units of the Central Government, the National Assembly, ministries, branches, localities and units under the Government Inspectorate is increasingly closer and more effective. Thereby contributing to improving the effectiveness of the direction and administration of the Government Inspectorate's leaders; meeting the requirements of the Central Government, the National Assembly, the Government and the Prime Minister.

Proactively advise on the effective implementation of financial and asset management of the agency, supervise and guide the implementation of a unified financial spending regime according to current regulations.

Regarding the key tasks in 2025, the Department continues to closely follow the leadership and direction of the Party Executive Committee and the Government Inspectorate, closely coordinate with departments, divisions, units, inspectorates of ministries, branches, localities and functional agencies, and strive to best complete the assigned tasks.

Continue to monitor and urge the implementation of the 2025 inspection plan of the Government Inspectorate, on that basis advise the General Inspectorate in leadership and direction; regularly review, detect and coordinate to handle overlaps in the implementation of the 2025 inspection plan; check the implementation of the inspection plan for local ministries and branches; grasp the situation, collect information to advise on the development of the 2026 Inspection Program Orientation and the 2026 Inspection Plan of the Government Inspectorate.

In addition, prepare well the content, regular and ad hoc reports to serve the conferences and meetings of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, especially serving the meetings of the Central Committee, National Assembly, Government; urge units to well perform the tasks assigned by the Government and Prime Minister.

Advise the General Inspectorate to perform well its duties with the National Assembly in answering questions from National Assembly deputies; resolving and responding to voters' petitions; advising on the implementation of National Assembly Resolutions (when assigned).

Participate in preparing content for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam Inspectorate's tradition day (November 23, 1945 - November 23, 2025); strengthen and improve the quality of coordination with departments, divisions, units in the agency and ministries, branches, localities, and functional agencies; guide and inspect the implementation of the information and reporting regime of the Inspectorate sector...

Speaking at the conference, Deputy General Director of the Government Inspectorate Le Tien Dat, on behalf of the Government Inspectorate's leaders, acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Planning and Synthesis Department in 2024. At the same time, he affirmed that the report presented at the meeting comprehensively demonstrated the achievements, pointed out the existing limitations, and clearly stated the key directions and tasks for 2025.

Deputy General Inspector Le Tien Dat emphasized that, in the context of a thin staff and civil servant force, the Department has strived to achieve encouraging results in all aspects of work such as inspection plans, financial plans, and general staff.

Regarding the direction of tasks in the coming time, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Le Tien Dat suggested that 2025 is the year of organizing Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, the Department of Planning and Synthesis needs to perform well the work of Party cell congresses, and at the same time deploy the development of reports to serve Party Congresses at all levels related to inspection work, citizen reception, handling of complaints and denunciations, and anti-corruption and negativity.

Review the documents regulating the functions and tasks of the Inspectorate and the Government Inspectorate. The financial planning department closely follows the tasks and coordinates well with related units to perform its functions and tasks in the best way.

Regarding the recommendations and proposals of the Department at the meeting, Deputy General Inspector Le Tien Dat acknowledged the need to discuss with relevant units to resolve difficulties, especially the issue of staffing. At the same time, he requested that during the working process, if there are any problems or difficulties, the Department should promptly report them so that there can be timely leadership and direction plans, helping the Department to perform well its assigned duties and responsibilities, contributing to the successful completion of the tasks of the Inspectorate and the Inspection sector.

Based on the annual work results, the Department of Planning and Synthesis has classified civil servants and reviewed emulation titles in 2024 in accordance with the regulations of the Government.
