These are the roads in Tan Phuoc Hung commune, Phung Hiep district, which have been built by the people of the hamlets for many years, with the most prominent being the beautiful green hedges...
The cotton hedge in front of the house is always carefully taken care of by Mr. Muoi.
Promoting the effectiveness of green fences in many families, in 2023, the People's Committee of the commune widely launched the model "Road with bright, green, clean and beautiful landscape".
Specifically, it is currently being widely deployed in 2 out of 9 hamlets, each hamlet planting 2,000 cotton trees, equivalent to 1km, contributing to beautifying the countryside of the commune.
Mr. Doan Van Bo, Vice Chairman of Tan Phuoc Hung Commune People's Committee, assessed: "After having a plan, the Commune People's Committee coordinated with hamlets to ask for people's opinions and propagate to people to understand the process of building the model. The commune also mobilized social resources to have funding to support seedlings, instruct on how to care for and grow the trees well before planting them in front of the house. This is a model that has received a very positive response from people in the commune."
In addition, some neighboring communes have beautiful landscapes, which are photographed by commune officials as documents and brought back to introduce. When contests on beautiful landscapes are held in the district or province, the commune also invites representatives from hamlets to watch, and then at the hamlet meetings, the villagers who have participated in the contest are invited by the commune to speak and promote again. From there, it increases confidence for every household to implement the model.
Previously, people in Tan Phuoc Hung commune also planted ornamental plants to create landscapes in front of their houses, but not uniformly. After the campaign was launched, many people in the hamlets actively participated, so it became more bustling.
The excitement of the people is expressed through the confession of Mr. Tran Van Sanh, in My Thanh hamlet: "Since planting ornamental plants along the road, I have seen a clear change in the landscape, the face of the countryside has also become brighter. This is an effective model, because before, trees were planted but not uniformly, and people were not interested, but since the beginning of the year, the commune officials have come down to propagate and mobilize, and I see more effectiveness."
People's consensus and active participation in a spirit of self-awareness is one of the successes of the model.
Mr. Duong Van Muoi, in Pho Duong hamlet, commented: “The day the local government mobilized each household to plant trees, then held a meeting to disseminate information, I saw the excitement of the people, from young to old, everyone was enthusiastic about taking care of each tree in front of their house, so the village landscape was cleaner and more beautiful. I slept at night and saw flowers in front of my house, my spirit was also happy.”
At the same time, the local government also mobilized socialization to implement the model of patching rural traffic routes, 3km, specifically: Mot Ngan canal route, Lam Truong embankment canal route, Bung Tau river canal route, each route is 1km.
The initial difficulties encountered by the model “A road with bright, green, clean, and beautiful landscape” were inevitable. Mr. Doan Van Bo, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Phuoc Hung Commune, said: “At first, some households did not agree, the reason was that they had not seen the effectiveness, but through propaganda sessions in many forms, when they saw many people planting, people gradually opened their hearts, and then unanimously joined hands to build the flower road.”
In the coming time, the Commune People's Committee plans to continue to maintain the model, promote propaganda more, the goal is to cover all the roads of the commune, towards successfully building a new rural commune. On average, it will be widely deployed in 2 hamlets/year and Tan Phuoc Hung will have many colorful flower roads.
