Long An industrial production index slightly decreased after Tet

In February 2025, Long An province's industrial production index decreased by 2.87% compared to the previous month due to slowing consumer demand and some enterprises performing machinery maintenance. However, compared to the same period in 2024, this index still increased sharply by 22.94%.

According to the report of the Department of Industry and Trade of Long An, the industrial production index in February 2025 decreased slightly by 2.87% compared to the previous month. The main reason is that after the Lunar New Year holiday, many businesses have not operated at full capacity, some production sectors were interrupted due to machinery maintenance and domestic consumption demand tended to decrease.

However, compared to the same period in 2024, the industrial production index still increased by 22.94%, showing that the province's economy is on the path of recovery and development. The processing and manufacturing industry had the highest growth rate, reaching 11.94% over the same period last year.

Industrial production is expected to recover in March 2025 as businesses increase production to meet domestic and foreign demand.
