The Vietnam Folk Arts Association of Quang Binh province held a congress for the 2025-2030 term.

In nearly 30 years of operation, the Vietnam Folk Arts Association of Quang Binh province has continuously developed, becoming an organization with many important contributions to preserving and promoting folk cultural values. Currently, the association has 10 members, all of whom are enthusiastic and dedicated to national culture.

Marks of the 2020-2025 term

During the 2020-2025 term, closely following the principles and purposes of the Vietnam Association of Vietnamese Folklore, members have made efforts to carry out many rich and diverse research and collection activities, covering all regions of the province. During the past term, the Association completed 19 in-depth research projects and published 16 works of practical value, making an important contribution to the treasure of Quang Binh folk culture. In addition, many works in manuscript form are highly appreciated for their historical and cultural significance.

The highlight of the past term was the attention paid to the folk culture of ethnic minorities, with specific and profound research projects. Research activities, seminars and workshops of members have contributed to spreading the value of folk culture not only locally but also nationwide.

Preserving and promoting heritage

The association has focused on preserving and teaching folk culture to the younger generation, while honoring folk artists. To date, Quang Binh has 45 folk artists belonging to the Vietnam Folk Artists Association, of which 11 artists have been awarded the title of Meritorious Artist and 1 artist has been awarded the title of People's Artist.

With outstanding achievements in collection and research, the Quang Binh Provincial VNDGVN Branch was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Vietnam VNDGVN Association, affirming its pioneering role in preserving and promoting folk cultural values.

Direction for the 2025-2030 term

During the 2025-2030 term, the Association will continue to promote the sense of responsibility and love for research and collection of folk art among its members. The goal is to improve the quality of research works, serving the preservation and promotion of national cultural identity.
