Implementing the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, Cam Lo district has issued plans to specify goals and targets and propose specific solutions to focus on leadership and implementation. To date, 19/21 targets have been achieved and exceeded, of which the district's economic growth rate (calculated by production value) reached 12.51%.
Average income per capita in 2024 will reach 73.2 million VND, estimated to reach 78.6 million VND by 2025 (plan 75-80 million VND); total social investment capital in 2024 will reach 844 billion VND, in the 2021-2025 period it will reach 3,954 billion VND (plan from 2,500 - 3,000 billion VND); the poverty rate in 2024 will be 1.66%, in 2025 it will be 1.56% and there will be no policy households falling back into poverty.
The construction of an advanced new rural district has basically completed the criteria, and is currently urgently completing the dossier and report to the Prime Minister for appraisal and recognition. Cam Lo district also focuses on calling for and attracting businesses to invest in developing industry, trade - services and tourism, as the main driving force for sustainable economic growth and labor restructuring. Continue to promote potentials and advantages, make the most of resources, and soon successfully achieve the goal of becoming the first advanced new rural district of the province. At the same time, continue to build a solid national defense and people's security posture associated with the task of socio-economic development of the locality.

Cam Lo district proposed that the Provincial People's Committee continue to pay attention, direct, and support additional funding sources for the district to complete the task of building advanced, model new rural districts and communes according to the set roadmap.
Support funding for adjusting the planning of Cam Lo district; pay attention to synchronous investment in wholesale market infrastructure connecting with expressways passing through Cam Lo district and the road connecting from the intersection of National Highway 9 to Cua Viet to the entrance to Quang Tri airport.
Arrange funding to build and rehabilitate roads due to the construction of expressways through Cam Lo district; inspect, review and have appropriate handling directions for the construction of a spiritual tourism area in Cam Tuyen commune.
Allocate investment capital to complete the centralized wastewater collection, drainage and treatment system in industrial clusters; support funding to upgrade Cam Lo District Medical Center to better serve the health care work of the people; arrange investment capital to repair and upgrade Thanh An Commune Martyrs Cemetery...
After listening to the report of Cam Lo District People's Committee; the evaluation opinions of the Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee and related departments and branches, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong requested Cam Lo District to continue to closely follow the direction and management of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to effectively implement the administrative reform program associated with the local socio-economic development program.
Clearly identify and propose fundamental, focused and key solutions to successfully build new agricultural models, apply high technology, in which it is necessary to make the most of the potential and space of land, resources, human resources, promote the people's strength to build the district to soon become a medicinal center and the first district to meet the advanced new rural standards of the province.
Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong also suggested the district's action theme in 2025 along with some fundamental solutions for implementation, and assigned specific tasks to relevant departments, branches and sectors in coordinating and supporting Cam Lo district to speed up the implementation of planning projects; gradually increase people's income and attract more and more potential businesses to invest in industrial clusters and craft villages in the area.
Synchronously and drastically implement administrative reform, digital transformation, and develop digital government to best serve people and businesses. Pay more attention to vocational training, job creation; sustainable poverty reduction; protect and care for people's health and effectively implement social security policies, thereby ensuring 100% completion of the proposed socio-economic development plan.
