Quang Tri Provincial leaders visit and work with Vietnam Rubber Industry Group

Yesterday afternoon, March 21, in Ho Chi Minh City, a delegation from Quang Tri province, including: Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong and leaders of relevant departments and branches, visited and worked with the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG).

Attending on the VRG side were Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VRG Tran Cong Kha; Deputy Party Secretary, General Director of VRG Le Thanh Hung and leaders of units under VRG.

At the meeting, representatives of Quang Tri MDF Wood Joint Stock Company reported on the production and business situation and the need to develop raw material areas in Quang Tri province. Accordingly, in 2024, the company's wood production output will reach 202,600 ^m3 of products, the 2025 plan has registered 190,000 ^m3 ; consumption output will reach 217,000 ^m3 , the 2025 plan has registered 195,000 ^m3 ; especially striving to export over 50,000 ^m3 . Average income per capita is nearly 8 million VND.

In the first 3 months of 2025, the company's total wood production volume is estimated at 50,000 ^m3 , up 49.5% over the same period and reaching 26.4% of the annual plan. The consumption volume of 43,470 ^m3 is equal to 94% over the same period, 6% lower, but in terms of revenue value, it is 221,657 billion VND, equal to 102.1%, 2.1% higher due to the selling price being 8.1% higher than the same period.

To improve production and business activities in the coming time, the company proposed that provincial leaders support in removing obstacles related to investment projects to develop raw material areas in the province.

For Quang Tri Rubber One Member Co., Ltd., in 2024, the total exploitation output of the company will reach 2,273,050 tons (103.18% of the plan). Purchased output will be 2,005 tons (100.2% of the plan); processed output will be 3,741 tons (124.7% of the plan); processed output will be 7,868.21 tons (109.3% of the plan); consumed output will be 5,484 tons (96.57% of the plan).

The company's revenue reached 267 billion VND, exceeding the plan by 21%; pre-tax profit was estimated at 36.5 billion VND, after-tax profit was estimated at 32.2 billion VND; paid to the state budget 12.9 billion VND; average income 11 million VND/person/month.

In 2025, the company strives to exploit output of 2,500 - 2,685 tons; purchase raw rubber latex of 3,000 - 3,350 tons, process 5,000 - 6,000 tons; process 10,500 tons of various types of latex with stable quality; consume over 5,685 tons. Total revenue strives to reach over 240 billion VND; total pre-tax profit of over 22 billion VND, pay to the budget of 19 - 20 billion VND...

Speaking at the meeting, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong emphasized: Quang Tri Province and VRG have had a close and affectionate relationship. He especially appreciated the 40 years of construction and development of Quang Tri Rubber One Member Co., Ltd., becoming a strong economic unit of the province.

In the coming time, the provincial leaders will continue to support the two companies under the group in the area to expand and develop. At the same time, they will create conditions for the development of forestry raw material areas for Quang Tri MDF Wood Joint Stock Company to increase forest cover and processed industrial products...

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang expressed his delight at the results achieved by VRG in recent times.

At the same time, he emphasized: The provincial leaders agreed to create a mindset for the two companies under VRG to operate more strongly. Quang Tri has many advantages and experiences to develop rubber acreage and supporting industries. Most of the rubber growing area in Quang Tri is located on the North-South expressway, so VRG should study the establishment of industrial zones and clusters in Gio Linh district.
