Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that during his lifetime, the great President Ho Chi Minh once advised "For the benefit of ten years, plant trees, for the benefit of a hundred years, cultivate people", "an ignorant nation is a weak nation", therefore, over the years, the Party and State have always considered education and training as the top national policy, an important task of the entire Party and people, leaving no one behind.

The Prime Minister assessed that in the past school year, the education sector overcame difficulties and challenges to successfully complete assigned tasks, gradually improving quality. In particular, many disabled children were cared for so that their studies could improve.
"I am delighted that over the past time, Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School has emerged as a school with outstanding achievements in inclusive education nationwide. I am extremely impressed that many students here have been and are excellent students at many universities across the country," said the Prime Minister.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Prime Minister would like to send to the teachers and students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School in particular and all teachers and students across the country in general his respectful greetings, warm regards and best wishes.
For students with disabilities and those in difficult circumstances, the Prime Minister hopes that they will always try, try to overcome challenges and disadvantages to study hard, always nurture the will to rise up to become good citizens for society, acquire a lot of knowledge, and leave many beautiful memories for the school.
"I hope that students, especially students with disabilities, will always try their best to achieve more, improve their moral qualities, and become good citizens who are responsible for the country," the Prime Minister emphasized.

Also at the opening ceremony, on behalf of teachers and students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School, student Hoang Thuy Chi (class 6A3) presented Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh with a painting. Chi's work won the excellent prize in the "Writing and Drawing about Teachers in My Heart" contest organized by the school in 2024.
The painting shows the meaning of the love that teachers of Nguyen Dinh Chieu school always have for students. It is this affection, teaching and protection that helps students grow up and together play a happy symphony about school and life.
According to her homeroom teacher, Thuy Chi is one of the school’s excellent students. She has been an excellent student for many years and has won many awards in several competitions organized by the school and the city.

In December 1982, Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School was established under the decision of the Hanoi People's Committee with the mission of educating the city's visually impaired children so that they can integrate into the community, live independently and contribute to society.
The school implements an inclusive education model for students with disabilities from grades 1 to 9, focusing on helping to develop the talents and interests of visually impaired students, organizing vocational training classes for students with disabilities, and skills classes to help students with disabilities better integrate into the community.
Currently, the school has 1,600 students, including nearly 400 students in grades 1 and 6. This is a school with a long tradition and outstanding achievements in inclusive education nationwide.
