Le Ho Nguyen Sang (3rd grade student) emotionally said: "The flood is terrible. I feel sorry for the kids out there, I hope they can get through it." Sitting next to Sang, other students shared: "I feel lucky. I feel sorry for them, I'm haunted by the news...".

In particular, the children also brought drawings and messages to send to children in flood-affected areas.

Tears fell from Nguyen Thien An (4th grade student) as she shared: "I hope no one will lose their loved ones in the flood. Seeing the pictures of houses being swept away, I feel so sorry."

This morning, An woke up at 5am and sat down to fold an envelope from student paper. She stapled it, colored it pink and red, and wrote, "I would like to send it to my fellow countrymen in the North." Inside, An put the 1 million VND that her parents and An had contributed.

Tran Huynh Thao Vy (4th grade student) expressed in her letter that she has a heart to send to the uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, grandparents... in the North who are suffering from grief.

Also on the morning of September 12, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, a teacher at Colette Secondary School (District 3), brought 5 million VND from the money he earned from writing books to support people in the North who are suffering from floods.

Teacher Tuan Anh said he included examples of the spirit of mutual love during the current flood in his lectures for students.

"I show them news about the storm and flood so they know they are luckier than many others, and show them the spirit of mutual love to awaken their feelings," the teacher confided.

Witnessing students from Me Since 1988 Kindergarten and Primary School come to the Tuoi Tre newspaper office to express their feelings to the people of the North, the teacher was moved and said: "Educating students like that is very valuable. Knowing how to respect and love our fellow countrymen is also a lesson that I have taught my students a lot.

The innocent smiles of the children when they come to the editorial office to support their compatriots will certainly warm the hearts of many people in difficulty out there."
