On March 7, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Huynh Uy Vien - Vice Chairman of Cam Lam District People's Committee - said that he had directed the Suoi Tan Commune People's Committee to review and invest in pouring concrete in front of the gate of Suoi Tan Primary School.
"Pouring concrete will help parents conveniently pick up and drop off students during the rainy season as well as ensure their safety," said Mr. Vien.
According to Mr. Vien, the area outside the gate of Suoi Tan Primary School is reinforced with soil and belongs to the road safety corridor of National Highway 1 managed by Road Management Area III.
"We will contact Road Management Area III to ask for permission from this unit to agree to the policy of pouring concrete in the area outside the school gate," said Mr. Vien.
According to Mr. Vien, the District People's Committee has requested the Department of Education and Training to thoroughly inform all schools to strictly follow regulations on the issue of mobilizing and spending school fees.
Meanwhile, a leader of Road Management Area III said that he will develop a working plan and coordinate with Cam Lam District People's Committee to carry out procedures in accordance with legal regulations on road management.
As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , in recent days, social media has seen an article with the content that Suoi Tan Primary School (Cam Lam District, Khanh Hoa) called for support to repair the school campus with an estimated budget of 258 million VND, calling on each parent to contribute according to their generosity, but the minimum is 100,000 VND/student.
However, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh - principal of Suoi Tan Primary School - confirmed that the above information is incorrect.
She and the parents' representative committee did not require a minimum contribution of 100,000 VND per student to cover the cost of pouring concrete outside the school gate.
