On March 11, at the Vietnam - Indonesia High-Level Business Dialogue with the theme "Vietnam - Indonesia: Partnership for Progress and Prosperity", VinFast - the electric vehicle brand of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong - signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for strategic cooperation with Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), one of the largest state-owned banks in Indonesia.
Under the agreement, VinFast and BNI will work together to build a sustainable transportation ecosystem, focusing on financial solutions to make it easier for Indonesians to own electric vehicles.
BNI not only plays the role of a strategic partner, providing capital and in-depth consulting, but also supports VinFast, companies in the Vingroup ecosystem, and customers and partners to access superior financial products.
In return, VinFast is committed to providing special incentives on car prices, services and flexible financial solutions for BNI employees and partners. This cooperation also aims to raise public awareness of sustainable development.
The two sides plan to launch strong communication campaigns, contributing to accelerating the process of achieving the Net Zero target and affirming the increasingly strong Vietnam - Indonesia relationship.
Ms. Pham Thuy Linh - Deputy General Director of VinFast Global - emphasized that by working with BNI, VinFast wants to help Indonesian people switch to electric vehicles easily, contributing to creating good values for society.
Meanwhile, Mr. Agung Prabowo - member of the Board of Directors of BNI - expressed his impression of VinFast's "For a Green Future" ecosystem. "This cooperation not only opens up business opportunities but also strengthens the relationship between the two countries, towards long-term prosperity," Mr. Agung Prabowo affirmed.
After just over a year in Indonesia, VinFast has started construction on an assembly plant, launched a diverse range of electric vehicles and built a wide network of dealers and service workshops. The cooperation with BNI is considered a "push" for VinFast to continue to break through, bringing Vietnamese electric vehicles further on the regional map.
