World oil prices today
World oil prices in today's trading session, June 17 (Vietnam time): WTI crude oil is at 79.77 USD/barrel, up 0.05 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.06%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 79.72 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 79.88 USD/barrel.
Brent crude oil was at $84.30 a barrel, down $0.14 a barrel, or 0.17 percent. Brent crude oil closed the previous session at $84.44 a barrel and opened this morning at $84.41 a barrel.
Traders are buying back the oil they sold off last week after OPEC+ assurances, which has sent oil prices soaring, Reuters reported.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On June 18, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities currently applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail prices of gasoline and oil were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of June 13. Accordingly, the price of kerosene increased the most - 302 VND/liter, followed by RON 95-III gasoline increased by 258 VND/liter, diesel increased by 218 VND/liter, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 169 VND/liter. Only fuel oil decreased by 369 VND/kg.
Gasoline discount today
Discount prices of petroleum products today, June 18, at some domestic petroleum dealers are as follows:
Pvoil applies discount rates on June 18: Oil discount of VND950/liter, RON 95-III gasoline: VND1,150/liter, E5 gasoline: VND950/liter. This discount rate is applied at Pvoil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc Petroleum discounts on June 18 as follows: Oil discount 900 VND/liter, RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,100 VND/liter, E5 gasoline: 900 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on June 18: RON 95 gasoline: 900 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 800 VND/liter; oil: 900 VND/liter.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices next period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. It is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, petroleum prices will increase simultaneously. Of which, oil may increase by about 300 VND/liter, and gasoline by 100-200 VND/liter.
Since the beginning of the year, since the price adjustment session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 13 times and decreased 11 times. Oil prices have increased 12 times and decreased 12 times.
