Regarding the recent incident of a dog being tied up in Kien An High School (Kien An District, Hai Phong City), which has caused a stir in public opinion, speaking with VietNamNet reporter, Mr. NDG (security guard of Kien An High School) confirmed that there was an incident of a dog being tied up and left in the school's parking lot. However, according to Mr. G, the nature of the incident was not as reported on social media.
Mr. G. explained that at noon on March 18, while he was in the guard house, he saw a young man (identity unknown) come and offer to sell a dog weighing about 15kg for 1.5 million VND. Because his family was about to have a job, Mr. G. bought it but offered 1 million VND.
Because his shift had not ended, Mr. G. left the dog (whose legs and mouth had been tied by the seller) in the school parking lot. In the afternoon, when students came to see it, they took pictures and posted them on social media with inappropriate content.
However, not knowing that the incident was attracting public attention, that same afternoon Mr. G. brought the dog to a nearby slaughterhouse to have it butchered and was told to come back the next morning to pick up the finished product.
That same evening, a woman came to claim to be the owner of the lost dog and asked Mr. G. to help find it.
Mr. G. and the dog's owner arrived at the slaughterhouse but the facility was closed. When contacted by phone, Mr. G. told the slaughterhouse owner not to butcher the dog and would redeem it.

"On March 19, I woke up at 3am to go to the slaughterhouse to wait to get the dog, but it wasn't until morning that I was able to get it with the owner. The owner of this dog later sent me 300,000 VND to support the money I spent on buying the dog," said Mr. G.
According to Mr. G, after helping the dog's owner redeem it, he also went to the family to explain the incident. The dog is being cared for at the owner's house.
Mr. G. also made a report of the incident and sent it to the Board of Directors of Kien An High School and the Ngoc Son Ward Police (Kien An District) to clarify the information to avoid cases where social networks reflect incorrectly.
Previously, on March 20, an article was circulated on social media with the following content: "A stray dog entered Kien An High School (Hai Phong) and was caught by the security guard, tied up by all four legs, and muzzled, very brutally. When students discovered it and complained, the security guard said 'the dog is for slaughter', then the school security guard took the dog to a dog meat shop. These students wanted to save the dog but did not know what else to do, so they posted it online...".
After 4 hours of appearing on social media, the post had more than 2,300 likes, nearly 500 shares and nearly 1,000 comments. Many people thought that the actions of the Kien An High School security guard were wrong and demanded that it be handled.
