Lam Dong students named in national team to attend international Olympic competition

At the Olympic team selection exam of the Ministry of Education and Training to participate in the International and Regional Olympic Competitions that ended in the afternoon of the same day, Dang Huy Hau, a 10th grade IT student at Thang Long-Da Lat High School for the Gifted, excellently won 2nd place out of 36 candidates, officially named in the national team.

Previously, Hau won first prize in information technology at the national excellent student exam with 25.25 points, being one of the 14 valedictorians of this exam.

Hau shared that for him, computer science is not just a subject, but also opens up a creative world where he can develop his own ideas, such as programming his favorite game. Today's achievement is the result of a persistent journey of pursuing his passion and constantly exploring knowledge.

As reported by Nhan Dan Newspaper, the exam to select the national team to compete in the 2025 international and regional Olympics will take place over three days, from March 25 to 27.

The exam had 187 candidates participating. These were the students with the highest scores in the national excellent student exam, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training earlier.

In 2024, Thang Long-Da Lat High School for the Gifted was awarded a smart classroom project. This is the first smart classroom in Lam Dong province.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province, this is the second time the locality has had excellent students on the Olympic team of the Ministry of Education and Training to participate in international and regional Olympic competitions.

In 2018, Duong Quoc Hung, a specialized IT student at Thang Long-Da Lat High School for the Gifted, was the first student from Lam Dong to be included in the Olympic team of the Ministry of Education and Training and won a bronze medal at the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad.
