On March 27, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) announced its expected plan for regular university enrollment in 2025.
Accordingly, this year the Diplomatic Academy plans to recruit 2,200 students with four admission methods, including direct admission and priority admission; combined consideration of academic records and international certificates/international standardized competency tests; combined consideration of high school graduation exam results and international certificates/international standardized competency tests; consideration of high school graduation exam results.
Thus, compared to last year, this year the Diplomatic Academy has eliminated the early admission method based on interview results; added a method of considering graduation exam scores with international certificates/international standardized competency tests.
This year, with the admission method combining academic records and international certificates, candidates participating in the admission process need to have an average score of 8.0 or higher for the 6 semesters.
At the same time, must have one of the following international certificates: IELTS Academic certificate from 6.0 or higher, or TOEFL iBT from 60 or higher, or PTE-A from 46 points or higher, or Cambridge English Qualifications certificates from 169 points or higher, or SAT from 1,200 points or higher, or ACT from 23 points or higher.
For French, DELF-B1 or higher or TCF tout public, general classification is from B1 or higher; Chinese is from HSK 4 (score from 260) or higher; Korean is from Topik 3 or higher; Japanese: from N3 or higher.
To facilitate candidates, this year the Diplomatic Academy will consider recruiting a number of new combinations such as D09 (math, history, English), D10 (math, geography, English), D14 (literature, history, English), D15 (literature, geography, English).
The Diplomatic Academy converts international certificate/international standardized competency test scores on a 10-point scale as follows:
Last year, the admission score to the Diplomatic Academy based on high school graduation exam scores ranged from 25.37 to 29.2, with the highest being Chinese Studies in the C00 group (literature, history, geography).
In 8 training majors, two majors have a benchmark score of 29 or higher in group C00, including international communication and Chinese studies.
