Speaking with VietNamNet, a leader of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment said that the Ministry has signed a document to send to localities according to the conclusion of the Government Inspectorate on state management of irrigation, dykes and natural disaster prevention at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment).

This person clarified that the document was sent to many localities, including the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province, requesting inspection, review, and handling of projects that violate the Law on Dikes and the Law on Land according to Inspection Conclusion No. 495/2024 of the Government Inspectorate.

Including the Vinh Thinh Multi-purpose Cultural Area Project and the FLC Vinh Phuc Conference Center on the Red River bank (Vinh Phuc province) which built works on the river bank without having an assessment of flood drainage and dike safety.

A representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment added that the document was sent to Vinh Phuc and other localities at the request of the Government Inspectorate.

Localities must review projects that are not in compliance with legal regulations to report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and if there are signs of criminal violations, they must transfer them to the police.

It is known that the deadline for localities to report back to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment according to the conclusion of the Government Inspectorate is May 30.

According to the conclusion of the Government Inspectorate, the Vinh Thinh Multi-purpose Cultural Complex Project and the FLC Vinh Phuc Conference Center built the project on the Red River bank when the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development had not yet submitted its assessment on flood drainage and dike safety to the Prime Minister. This, according to the inspectorate, violated the Law on Dikes.
