Because Tran Quyet Chien had never reached the quarter-finals of the world's most prestigious 3-cushion carom tournament and the young player born in 1995, Bao Phuong Vinh, was participating in this tournament for the first time. Bao Phuong Vinh graduated with a master's degree in economics in Australia and returned to Vietnam on December 20, 2019.
