On March 13, the Hanoi Party Committee held the 7th Hanoi Press Award Ceremony on Party Building and the Political System of Hanoi City - 2024.
Attending the Award Ceremony were Secretary of the City Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Lai Xuan Mon, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong; members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and leaders of departments, branches and sectors of Hanoi...
This is an important and practical event to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2025), honoring outstanding press works that contribute to improving the quality of Party building work and the political system of the Capital.
Press accompanies the Capital
Speaking at the 7th Hanoi Press Awards Ceremony on Party Building and the Political System in 2024, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong congratulated the press agencies and journalists who participated and won the awards.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong said that, deeply aware of the important role of Party building work, the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee identified this as one of the five key tasks that need to be focused on during the 2020-2025 term.
To complete this important task, the active participation of the entire political system and the people is needed; in which the press plays a particularly important role, contributing to disseminating content on Party building, helping Party committees, Party organizations and people effectively implement policies and resolutions into practice.

In 2024, the Hanoi Party Committee promoted the spirit of solidarity and responsibility, proactively and synchronously implemented all tasks. Focused on innovating leadership methods; preparing for Party Congresses at all levels towards the 18th City Party Congress; successfully organized the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
The city promptly advised and reported to the Politburo, submitted to the National Assembly for approval the Law on the Capital (amended); at the same time, the Prime Minister approved two important plans, contributing to orienting the sustainable development of the Capital.
The City Party Committee organized a wide-ranging political activity on the guiding ideology and major orientations of the Party and General Secretary To Lam on the new era - the era of national development with a proactive, methodical, scientific, and in-depth plan, creating positive effects throughout the Party and political system. The city completed many socio-economic development goals, with GRDP increasing by 6.52% and budget revenue reaching 125.3% of the estimate.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phong emphasized that contributing to the above successes, along with the leadership, direction, and drastic participation of Party committees and authorities at all levels, and the support of the people, information and propaganda work is very important.
According to the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, news agencies and newspapers have actively accompanied the Capital, strengthened propaganda to build the Party and the political system of the City, created consensus among the people, thereby contributing significantly to helping the City well implement political tasks in the past time.

2024 marks the 7th consecutive time that the Press Award on Party building and the political system of Hanoi city has been held, affirming the attention of the City's leaders to the role of the press in propaganda work on Party building and the political system.
After one year of launching and implementing, the 7th Hanoi Journalism Award on Party Building and the Political System has received the attention and response of many reporters and central and local press agencies. The Organizing Committee of the Award received a total of 184 works from 26 press agencies and units; including 53 printed works, 95 electronic works, 8 radio works and 28 television works.
The Award Judging Council worked with a spirit of fairness, objectivity and high responsibility, selecting 2 equally excellent press agencies and 33 best press works to award the Prize, including: 3 A Prizes, 5 B Prizes, 7 C Prizes, 3 C Prizes - Special and 15 Encouragement Prizes.

According to the evaluation of the Judging Council, the press works participating in this year's Award are of good quality and quite uniform. In general, the content of the works is basically general, theoretical and highly practical, focusing on urgent and practical issues raised by Hanoi in the work of Party building and the political system in the current period.
In particular, the quality of the electronic newspaper works is better and more elaborately invested than in previous years. Many works participating in the Award closely follow the breath of life, discover new issues, and innovate the way of writing about a familiar, traditional topic, thereby demonstrating the hard work and creativity, bringing appeal in the way of expression. The organization of the newspapers is also more methodical, the professionalism is deeper and clearer.
Most of the articles closely follow the Party building work and the political system of the City Party Committee; closely follow the programs, work projects, and directions of the City Party Committee, especially for the key tasks of bringing the Resolution of the 17th Hanoi Party Congress and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress into life.

Specifically, the implementation of Resolution 15-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing the Capital until 2030, with a vision to 2045; building, amending and implementing the Capital Law; Party development work at the grassroots level; decentralization, delegation of authority, and innovation in personnel work; overcoming the fear of responsibility, tightening discipline and order in one year of implementing Directive 24-CT/TU of the City Party Committee; promoting digital transformation, streamlining the government apparatus; Hanoi Capital in the new era, the era of national growth...
Thereby contributing to improving the quality of propaganda on Party building and the political system of Hanoi city and creating a positive ripple effect in society. The results achieved demonstrate the sense of responsibility, creativity and dedication of journalists towards the capital Hanoi.
Following the success of the 7th Hanoi City Press Award on Party Building and Political System in 2024, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong officially launched the 8th Hanoi City Press Award on Party Building and Political System in 2025.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phong believes that, from the results achieved in the past seasons, with the support and assistance of all levels, sectors, press agencies and journalists, the 8th Hanoi City Press Award on Party Building and Political System in 2025 will continue to achieve more success.
