At the Spring At Ty 2025 press conference organized by the Navy, Mr. Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, affirmed: "The press will continue to accompany and support the Navy in the cause of protecting sea and island sovereignty".
On the morning of February 28, the Navy held a press conference to celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025, announcing outstanding results in 2024 and orientations for propaganda work in 2025. Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Bong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Navy chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Bong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Navy, emphasized the important role of the press in promoting and disseminating the image and activities of the Vietnam People's Navy, contributing to strengthening the strength to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands.
In 2024, the Vietnam Navy achieved many remarkable achievements in performing military and defense tasks and coordinating propaganda work.
The Navy grasps firmly, proactively studies, evaluates, and accurately forecasts the situation; promptly advises and proposes to the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense policies and solutions, and directly and effectively handles situations in accordance with policies, avoiding being passive or surprised.
The entire Army mobilized 15,000 officers and soldiers with over 450 vehicles, participating in 205 rescue operations, saving 280 people and 20 vehicles at sea.
In addition, the navy also helped the authorities and people of the northern provinces prevent, combat and overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 (Yagi); supported the people of the Mekong Delta region with thousands of cubic meters of fresh water and over 200 water storage devices. The forces promptly propagated and chased away over 150,000 foreign fishing vessels that violated our waters; at the same time, they did a good job of propagating and mobilizing fishermen to monitor, prevent and reduce the situation of our fishing vessels illegally exploiting seafood in the waters according to Directive 45 of the Prime Minister.
Agencies and units in the Army continued to closely coordinate with 63 provinces and cities nationwide and 16 central agencies and press agencies to successfully organize the 5-year review conference of the Sea and Island Propaganda Coordination Program for the period 2019 - 2024.
The service successfully organized 30 ships and planes, welcoming more than 5,000 delegates to visit and inspect Truong Sa archipelago, DK1 platform and the island route in the Southwest sea in a strict, thoughtful and safe manner.
At the meeting, the Navy expressed its desire to continue receiving attention and close cooperation from news agencies and the press in propaganda work. The Navy will create the most favorable conditions for journalists to work, promptly, accurately and vividly reflecting the activities of the Vietnam People's Navy.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Quoc Minh highly appreciated the achievements of the Navy in 2024 and affirmed that the press will continue to accompany and support the Navy in the cause of protecting sea and island sovereignty.
On this occasion, the Navy awarded Certificates of Merit to 25 collectives and 34 individuals of press agencies for their outstanding achievements in coordinating propaganda work on military and defense tasks and activities of the Navy in 2024.
