(PLVN) - On the afternoon of February 27, at the press conference on the socio-economic situation of Ho Chi Minh City, a representative of the Department of Industry and Trade informed about the program to vote for 50 typical enterprises of Ho Chi Minh City in 2025.
Ms. Le Nguyen Duy Oanh, Deputy Director of the City's Center for Supporting Industry Development (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade) said: On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with relevant Departments, Boards, Branches and organizations to implement the program of selecting and honoring 50 typical and key enterprises of Ho Chi Minh City in 2025.
The program to vote and honor 50 typical enterprises of Ho Chi Minh City aims to recognize and honor enterprises with key brands and products. At the same time, the program encourages the business community to constantly innovate, create, develop sustainably, and improve their competitive position in the market.
In addition, the promotion of Ho Chi Minh City's brands and key products has also been promoted, contributing to enhancing the City's image in the domestic and international markets. The honored enterprises not only affirm their pioneering role in their fields of operation but also demonstrate their outstanding contributions to the economic, cultural and social development of the City over the past 50 years, thereby clearly portraying the image of a dynamic, developing and integrated Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Le Nguyen Duy Oanh emphasized.
The selected enterprises are the leading enterprises of the City, with brands and key products, meeting the following criteria: Having outstanding quality, high recognition, loved by consumers; having high competitiveness in the market; being environmentally friendly, in line with the green and sustainable development trend, having the characteristics and unique culture of the City and being closely associated with the formation and development process of Ho Chi Minh City, having outstanding contributions to the socio-economic development of the City.
The program attracted the interest and participation of 151 enterprises, including 97 enterprises in the industrial sector, 51 enterprises in the service sector and 3 enterprises operating in the agricultural sector.
The Voting Council will conduct scoring and selection of enterprises from March 5 to March 15, 2025. From March 16 to March 31, 2025, the Organizing Committee and the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will review and approve the voting results. In April 2025, the program will announce the results and organize the Ceremony to Honor 50 Outstanding Enterprises of Ho Chi Minh City.
