Yen Bai promotes image promotion, comprehensively innovates foreign information work

The People's Committee of Yen Bai province has just issued the External Information Activities Plan for 2025 to continue promoting and enhancing the prestige and image of Yen Bai province, improving the quality and effectiveness of external information work in the new situation.

The plan aims to strengthen state management of foreign information, effectively implement the Party and State's guidelines and policies on foreign information; promptly and accurately provide information on socio-economic development policies, security, national defense, protection of national rights and interests, territorial sovereignty, sovereignty over seas and islands to the people in the province.

Innovate communication work to promote the image of Yen Bai province to the world, contributing to enhancing the national image in the international arena. Strengthen the fight against and refute false and distorted arguments of opportunistic and hostile forces, contributing to maintaining political stability, security, social order and safety, creating consensus among all classes of people in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.

The plan includes 5 groups of contents: implementing ethnic work in the field of Information and Communication for the period 2024-2030; implementing tasks related to foreign information work; communicating and promoting the national image and the image of Yen Bai province; training and fostering foreign information skills; propagating the protection of sovereignty, territory, seas and islands, and major holidays in 2025.

The People's Committee of Yen Bai province assigned the Department of Information and Communications to preside over and coordinate with the Ethnic Committee to deploy propaganda and foreign information; Digital transformation, information security in the network environment; and implement a number of tasks in the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

Implementing Decision No. 1079/QD-TTg dated September 14, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the Project on communication on human rights in Vietnam. Implementing Resolution No. 47/NQ-CP dated April 15, 2024 of the Government on the Government's Action Program to 2030 to implement Conclusion No. 57-KL/TW dated June 15, 2023 of the Politburo on continuing to improve the quality and effectiveness of foreign information work in the new situation to enhance the prestige and image of Yen Bai province, focusing on implementing propaganda, foreign information to explain, clarify, and combat against false information on cyberspace and social platforms.

Continue to implement Decision No. 1191/QD-TTg dated August 5, 2020 of the Prime Minister on approving the goals, tasks, solutions to innovate and improve the capacity of information and propaganda work and foreign information to contribute to building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developed border.

The Department of Information and Communications, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Office of the Provincial People's Committee, and relevant agencies continue to coordinate with the Department of External Information to promote the image of Yen Bai province on the Vietnam.vn Portal; update information on important local events on the Vietnam.vn Portal to form a national event map; coordinate to organize the exhibition of the photo and video contest "Vietnam Happiness - Happy Vietnam 2025" in the province to promote communication on human rights, promote the image of the country and the province.

The People's Committee of Yen Bai province also requested units to integrate propaganda and promotion of the image of the country and Yen Bai province into the province's foreign affairs activities (organizing outgoing delegations, welcoming incoming delegations, international conferences and seminars, cooperation with foreign localities, investment, trade and tourism promotion activities, etc.). Strengthen the promotion and introduction of the province's image through the activities of international press delegations in the province. At the same time, coordinate with the Ministry of Information and Communications to use and exploit KOLs in campaigns to promote the image of the country and Yen Bai province.

Organize training for provincial, district and communal management officials; officials in charge of foreign information work, departments, branches and sectors under the Steering Committee for Foreign Information Work of Yen Bai province; press agencies in the province; enterprises and organizations participating in foreign information activities, to raise awareness of the role and position of foreign information work as an important part of the political, ideological and foreign affairs work of the Party, state diplomacy and people's diplomacy; link the implementation of foreign information work with the strategic goals and tasks of national development set out in Resolution XIII of the Party.

Along with that, propaganda on protecting sovereignty, territory, seas and islands, major holidays in 2025; summarizing 10 years of implementing Decree 72/2015/ND-CP dated September 7, 2015 of the Government on management of foreign information activities...

Departments, branches, sectors; People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities deploy and implement foreign information activities in accordance with local realities, ensuring practicality and effectiveness; at the same time, coordinate well in implementing the contents of foreign information work related to their functions and scope of management.
