Minh Tien Commune receives Certificate of recognition as a model new rural commune

On May 7, Minh Tien commune (Phu Cu) held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition as a model new rural commune. Attending were comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Nguyen Le Huy, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dang Ngoc Quynh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee.

From 2011 to 2022, the commune mobilized over 253 billion VND to build new rural areas, advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas; of which the commune budget was nearly 33 billion VND, the district budget supported over 77 billion VND, the provincial budget supported nearly 117 billion VND and mobilized capital, contributions from the people and children living far from home was 26 billion VND. 100% of the main roads of the commune, village, and alleys were concreted, asphalted, and lighting systems were installed. The inter-village and inter-commune roads were planted with flowers and trees, creating a bright - green - clean - beautiful rural appearance.

The commune has established 8 concentrated commodity production areas with a total area of over 256 hectares (accounting for over 91% of the total cultivated land area of the commune), of which 21.8 hectares of lychee are certified by VietGAP and 12.8 hectares of lychee are produced according to OTAS standards. The commune has 3 products certified by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting OCOP standards. In 2022, the average income per capita of the commune will reach over 70 million VND.

The movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life is increasingly going into depth, the movement of building cultural villages and cultural families is actively responded by the whole people. The work of primary health care for the people is well implemented. The commune performs well the tasks of national defense and local military, the political security situation, social order and safety are maintained.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Le Huy, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that in the coming time, in order to continue to maintain and improve the criteria of model new rural areas, the Party Committee and local authorities continue to promote propaganda work so that people can proactively and actively participate in building model new rural areas, while at the same time implementing democracy at the grassroots level with the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise and people benefit". Focus on promoting production, joint venture cooperation, linkage according to product value chains, building many highly effective economic models, developing diverse OCOP products... to create jobs, increase income for people...

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Le Huy, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, awarded the Certificate of Recognition of the commune meeting the model NTM standards for production organization in 2022 to the Party Committee, government and people of Minh Tien commune; awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the people and officials of Minh Tien commune with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" in Hung Yen province for the period 2021-2025.
