On June 14, the Hung Yen City Military Command held a conference to review local military and defense tasks in the first 6 months of the year and deploy directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2023. In the first 6 months of the year, the Military Command of Hung Yen city united, overcame difficulties, focused on leadership and direction to comprehensively complete local military and defense tasks. Proactively advised the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee to strengthen leadership and direction to effectively perform local military and defense tasks, contributing to building a national defense foundation, a national defense posture associated with a people's security posture, taking care to build a strong defense and security potential, proactively and effectively fighting against the plots and sabotage tricks of hostile forces. Strictly maintaining combat readiness, coordinating with the City Police and grassroots units to grasp the political security situation - social order and safety in the area, ensuring absolute safety during holidays and Tet. Up to now, the city has completed the militia and self-defense training program for the subjects. Coordinate well, synchronously implement stages and steps in the selection and call-up process for citizens to join the army in 2023, hand over 152/152 new recruits, completing 100% of the target.

In the last 6 months of the year, the Hung Yen City Military Command continued to strictly maintain combat readiness, command duty, duty, air defense duty, organize training for subjects to ensure compliance with the plan and actively practice to participate in competitions and sports events with high results. Advise the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee to lead and direct the organization of combat drills in the city's defense area, national defense and security drills for departments and branches. Advise local Party committees and authorities to well organize the preliminary selection and examination for military service in 2024.
