From September 1 to 4, at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, there will be exciting activities on the occasion of National Day September 2, organized by the Management Board of the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
The program demonstrates the traditional culture of ethnic minorities through the highland market space and activities of ethnic minorities celebrating National Day. The program includes folk song and dance performances, introduction of local ethnic and regional cuisine... thereby contributing to promoting local culture and tourism.
The program has the participation of more than 200 artisans, compatriots, and artists of 15 ethnic groups who are working daily at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, including village elders, village chiefs, artisans, and ethnic people: Nung, Tay (Thai Nguyen); Mong (Ha Giang); Muong (Hoa Binh); Thai, Kho Mu (Son La); Ta Oi, Co Tu (Thua Thien Hue)...

The highlight activity is the program with the theme: "Happy Independence Day". Here, the Organizing Committee will recreate the cultural space imbued with the colors of ethnic groups in the Northwest and Northeast regions, with the highlight being the cultural space of the highland market with the theme "Highland Market Happy Independence Day", creating an impressive highland market atmosphere for visitors to go to the market and enjoy the cuisine, traditional specialties, ethnic culture, and folk games at the highland market performed by the ethnic community.
The center of the highland market is the booths of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang, Lang Son, Son La provinces... displaying and introducing ethnic products. In addition, there is also a cultural market space of the Mong, Thai, Tay, Nung people... in which there are reenacted activities such as a space for exchanging, buying and selling, and preparing traditional dishes; Mong couples enthusiastically dancing on the panpipe, Nung people bustling in lion dances to celebrate Independence Day...
The folk song and dance program “Happy Independence Day” includes folk song and dance performances celebrating the country, praising the homeland, national identity and folk games, creating a joyful, excited, warm atmosphere, imbued with the traditions of the ethnic groups, demonstrating the uniqueness in the diversity of celebrating National Day September 2.
In addition, the program also includes traditional festivals reenacting the wedding ceremony of the Nung ethnic group; the fire-keeping ghost procession ritual of the Mong ethnic group...
