Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the delegation of KFHI Korea and Samsung Vietnam Complex

– On the afternoon of August 17, comrade Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province received and worked with the delegation of the Korean KFHI Organization and Samsung Vietnam Complex led by Mr. Choi Joo Ho, General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex.

Also attending the meeting were representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches and the People's Committee of Lang Son city.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr. Choi Joo Ho and the delegation to work in the province to discuss the operation of the Samsung Hope School and discuss cooperation plans in the coming time.

Affirming the increasingly good relationship between Vietnam and Korea, the Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee said that Lang Son (Vietnam) and localities and partners of Korea have great potential to build cooperative relations in the coming time in many fields.

He also informed the delegation about the socio-economic development of Lang Son, especially import-export activities in the province in recent times, and emphasized that the import-export turnover in the province could achieve even higher results with the participation of Samsung Company; thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Choi Joo Ho thanked the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and branches for taking the time to receive and work with the delegation. The General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex also thanked the authorities and functional branches of Lang Son province in the past time, especially during the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, for always supporting and creating favorable conditions for Korean enterprises, including Samsung, to import components to promote production.

At the meeting, leaders of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, representatives of departments, branches and General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex exchanged and discussed some contents that the company proposed Lang Son province to support in removing difficulties in customs clearance of goods at the border gate.

Through the exchange and discussion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Lang Son always creates the most favorable conditions for the import and export of goods from Korea through the province's border gate area. He agreed with the cooperation proposal of Samsung Company and affirmed that the two sides will continue to pay attention and exchange to promote cooperation in the future.

Also in the working program, the leaders of Lang Son City People's Committee informed the working delegation about the operation of the Samsung Hope School sponsored by Samsung Electronics Vietnam Company and KFHI Korea.

Accordingly, the school started construction in November 2021 in Mai Pha commune, Lang Son city and was inaugurated in September 2022; officially put into operation in early 2023. Currently, Samsung Hope School has nearly 300 students studying completely free of charge after school with subjects such as: Korean, English and Chinese; IT, music and sports clubs. In addition, students can also participate in other activities organized by KFHI and the school.

After visiting Samsung Hope School, leaders of both sides agreed to continue to care and create better conditions for the school's activities, contributing to creating the best learning environment for students.
