– On August 17, the Working Group of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman, led by the leader of the Provincial People's Committee Office, inspected the implementation of tasks, conclusions, and directions of the Provincial People's Committee and the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee at the Department of Construction.

According to the report of the Department of Construction, from the beginning of 2023, the Department's leaders focused on directing cadres, civil servants and affiliated units to focus on implementing assigned tasks. Accordingly, by the end of July 2023, the Department of Construction had completed 35 reports on appraisal of planning project tasks; implemented 318 official dispatches to handle guidance on architectural planning and urban development...

From the beginning of 2023 to the end of July 2023, the Department was assigned 100 tasks by the Provincial People's Committee, of which the Department completed 97 tasks, of which 96 tasks were completed on time, 1 task was behind schedule, and 3 tasks are being performed. The quality of the assigned tasks basically met the requirements, and the work of advising the Provincial People's Committee in the field of state management had many positive changes.
Discussing at the inspection session, representatives of the working group members requested the Department of Construction to clarify some more contents such as: progress of implementation of key tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee; construction planning projects directed by the Provincial People's Committee; inspection status of construction works; advisory work for the People's Committee to manage and inspect urban area projects being implemented in the province; implementation status of financial autonomy for public service units under the Department; settlement of administrative procedures, etc.
The opinions of the Working Group were reported and clarified by the leaders of the department and its affiliated departments.
Concluding the working session, the Head of the Working Group assessed that the Department of Construction has made great efforts in implementing the tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee and the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee. However, there are still shortcomings such as: the progress of the appraisal of the general adjustment planning of Na Duong town is still slow, the quality of the implementation of the planning of That Khe town is not high; there are still shortcomings in the consultation work on handling state-owned housing...
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Head of the Working Group requested the Department's leaders to strengthen leadership and direction, internal solidarity, strictly implement administrative discipline of civil servants; improve the capacity to appraise construction planning projects, project works, and manage construction quality; continue to review assigned tasks, thereby finding solutions to organize implementation to ensure quality and efficiency.
In addition, the department needs to focus on personnel work to enhance the capacity to advise on the implementation of the sector's tasks; effectively handle administrative procedures for people and businesses; and have specific solutions to improve the competitiveness of departments and sectors in 2023.
