This afternoon (September 19), speaking with VietNamNet reporter, Mr. Nguyen Tan Ban - Chairman of Chau Duc District People's Committee - said that there has been a decision to conduct a comprehensive inspection of Anh Duong Kindergarten, the inspection period is from January 2022 to September 2024.

The inspection team consisted of 12 people, led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Huynh - Deputy Chief Inspector of Chau Duc district. The remaining members included deputy heads of departments and staff from relevant departments and offices.

The decision was made after complaints about the "poor" lunch meals for teachers at the school, which have caused a stir in public opinion in recent days.

On the same day, Chau Duc District People's Committee also reported the progress of handling the case after the Chairman of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial People's Committee requested to verify and clarify information about the food rations of teachers at the above kindergarten.

According to the report, immediately after receiving public feedback on social networking sites about teachers' lunches, the Chairman of Chau Duc District People's Committee issued an (urgent) dispatch directing specialized agencies to preside over and coordinate in verifying the content; issue a dispatch on providing a hotline to promptly commend typical advanced examples as well as handle negative issues, shortcomings, limitations, weaknesses... related to education work in the area.

On the afternoon of September 17, the Chairman of Chau Duc District People's Committee held a dialogue with 39 teachers and employees of Anh Duong Kindergarten. Through the dialogue, there were 24 opinions reflecting and recommending the following contents: lunch meals; labor contract regime; unclear and undisclosed revenues and expenditures; the principal's attitude towards officials and employees; work pressure...

Accordingly, the Chairman of Chau Duc District People's Committee assigned the District Inspectorate to establish a comprehensive inspection team for Anh Duong Kindergarten to promptly clarify the incident and advise on strict handling of violations (if any). If deemed necessary, the inspection team will recommend temporary suspension of work for individuals who have committed violations according to regulations.

The report of Chau Duc District Education Department on September 17 on the verification results of the information about the 30,000 VND meal of teachers at Anh Duong Kindergarten said that the reflections on social networks were reasonable, because the school had provisionally collected the total number of meals for 16 days in the month, 30,000 VND/person per day, and collected from September 10.

However, before that, the school had not organized meetings to gather consensus on organizing lunch at school; the amount of money for each meal, support for cooking staff, and revenue and expenditure had not been clearly agreed upon.

The principal of the school is primarily responsible for the above shortcomings.
