In the final match, the second qualifying round of the 2024 Asian U20 Women's Championship, Vietnam's U20 Women's Championship finished second in Group A after being defeated 0-2 by Australia's U20 Women's Championship.

The two tickets to the next round of Group A, belonging to U20 Vietnam and U20 Australia, were determined early after the second round of matches. Therefore, the confrontation between the two teams in the final round was only to determine the top position in the group. As expected, this was the most difficult match for U20 Vietnam.
With superior physique and physical strength, the Australian U20 women's team quickly asserted their strength with big wins against the Lebanese U20 women's team and the Iranian U20 women's team. When facing the Vietnamese U20 women's team, the girls from the land of kangaroos continued to maintain their endurance by pushing up their formation as soon as the starting whistle blew. The pressure they created made the home team's defense work extremely hard. In the first 45 minutes, in addition to waiting for the opportunity to counterattack, the Vietnamese U20 women's team played with concentration to keep a clean sheet.

In the second half, Kieu My's goal was still under great pressure. However, the brilliance of the goalkeeper wearing the number 1 shirt could not help the U20 women's team of Vietnam keep a clean sheet. In the 49th minute, after developing the ball from the left wing, Murpyh, after two touches of controlling the ball, fired a beautiful long-range shot that defeated Kieu My to open the score of the match. 6 minutes later, the player wearing the number 8 shirt continued to repeat the same scenario, helping the U20 women of Australia double the gap.
What happened on the field forced coach Akira Ijiri to make as many substitutions as possible. However, the home team's girls could not create a surprise against the Australian U20 women's team. The red team had to retreat deep into their home field to defend to avoid conceding another goal. Luckily, the opponent's shots could not hit the target for the third time. With this result, the Australian U20 women's team successfully maintained the top position in Group A, while the second place belonged to the Vietnamese U20 women's team. In the early match, the Iranian U20 women's team defeated the Lebanese U20 women's team to finish in third place.
