
Tan's passion for performing arts grew over the years, so when he graduated from high school, Ngoc Tan decided to enroll in the Drama - Cinema - Television Acting major at the University of Theater and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City to pursue his passion and fulfill his dream.
In 2013, right after graduating, Tan chose to develop his career at the Idecaf Drama Theater (Idecaf Theater). Here, the young actor participated in many plays such as The Flag Embroidered with Six Golden Letters, Phu Dong Thien Vuong, Trung Nu Vuong, Robbing Brides, Love Without Paradise, Who Is a Billionaire... In mid-2019, Tan joined the 5B Small Stage Drama Theater, appearing in the plays: Dieu oi!, Tia oi! I'm Getting Married, Dandelion, What's the Cause of Laughter, Tia oi! Where's My Husband?, Dep Rieu Nha, Cong Ly nhu mat toan...
Considered a versatile actor, Ngoc Tan can take on many types of roles, from handsome actors to old actors, from gentle characters to villainous faces... and not only drama, Tan also ventured into reformed opera, performing in many programs such as Golden Bell, Silver Bell Forever, Talented Gardener... or in some reformed operas: Princess Hoan Chau, That Tien Nu, Ngoc Ky Lan...
In 2022, Ngoc Tan received a Bronze Medal for his role as Dan Chi in the play Justice like the sun (5B Small Stage Drama Theater) at the 2021 National Drama Festival in the Southern region. In addition to acting, Tan also participates in writing skits and short scripts. Most recently, his first long script, Waiting for Someone, was performed at the Ho Chi Minh City Circus.
After more than 12 years of pursuing a professional artistic career, Vo Ngoc Tan has always strived to keep the fire of his profession burning, promoting his passion for artistic creation. Sharing about his future journey, Vo Ngoc Tan said: “This year, I will graduate from the Film Directing class. I hope my graduation film can participate in upcoming film festivals. For me, performing, directing and scriptwriting always support each other, giving me many opportunities to be creative in art. Directing gives me an overall view to help the script become clearer, actors support the direction, demonstration... However, I still love acting the most, because I always like to "borrow" the lives of characters, live with stories, experience many different feelings and emotions".
