Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023 is a golf tournament within the European Legends Tour system, organized in collaboration with Viet Challenge Joint Stock Company with special competition formats, opening up opportunities for young talents and amateur golfers to exchange and improve their competition experience to be ready and confident to compete in high-level tournaments in the future.
In particular, the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) has nominated national athletes, including young athletes, top professional and amateur golfers in the country to participate in Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023.
In addition, 60 legendary names of the world golf village also compete, including the top 10 most anticipated golfers: Michael Campbell - Tournament Ambassador, Euan McIntosh, Emanuele Canonica, John Price, James Kingston, Adilson Da Silva, Stephen Dodd, Joakim Haeggman, Peter Baker, Markus Brier promise to create a new golf experience at Vinpearl Golf Nha Trang.
During the official competition days from November 30 to December 2, 60 legendary golfers and 30 amateur athletes will be divided into 30 teams. Specifically, 30 amateur athletes will select 15 people with the lowest total gross points to compete for the Best Amateur award on December 2. At the same time, the group of legendary golfers will compete to decide the owner of the prestigious Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023 trophy.
Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023 has a total prize value of up to 31 billion VND, of which the cash prize value is 730,000 USD, equivalent to 18 billion VND. The top 3 of the tournament will receive a prize of up to 200,000 USD (equivalent to nearly 5 billion VND).
The champion of the tournament, in addition to the extremely valuable prize, also receives the prestigious Championship Cup of the tournament simulating the Dong Son bronze drum symbol. In addition, there are 14 Hole In One (HIO) prizes: 6 prizes are VinFast VF 9 cars; 08 prizes are other valuable prizes... with a total value of up to more than 13 billion VND.
Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023 marks Vietnam as the first country in Southeast Asia to participate in the prestigious and large-scale tournament series of the European Legends Tour.
The tournament took place at Vinpearl Golf Nha Trang, an 18-hole par 71 golf course surrounded by the poetic beauty of the vast blue bay and majestic mountains, and was broadcast live on On Golf channel - Vietnam Cable Television VTV from November 30 to December 2.
