On December 24, the Department of Information and Communications of Binh Phuoc province coordinated with the People's Committee of Phuoc Long town to hold a press conference to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Phuoc Long Liberation Day and the 30th National Cross-Country Mountain Climbing Championship "Conquering Ba Ra Peak" in 2025.
The 30th National Cross-Country Mountain Climbing Championship "Conquering Ba Ra Peak" in 2025 will open on the morning of January 6, 2025, at the Phuoc Long Victory Monument (Long Thuy Ward, Phuoc Long Town).

According to the registration list, there are 1,422 domestic and international athletes participating. Of which, the foreign team has 5 delegations with 30 athletes; the selected team has 386 athletes; the grassroots team has 1,006 athletes from 40 delegations.

In the men's category, in addition to the participation of Vietnam's 'marathon king' Hoang Nguyen Thanh, an athlete who has won the title of 'king of Ba Ra mountain climbing' 8 times, there are also typical athletes such as Trinh Quoc Luong and Nguyen Quoc Anh (Army) who have also won the title of 'king of Ba Ra mountain climbing'.

The 30th National Cross-Country Mountaineering Championship 'Conquering Ba Ra Peak' has more than 1,400 athletes participating
Mr. Tran The Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Phuoc province, said that the National Cross-Country Mountaineering Championship "Conquering Ba Ra Peak" is an annual tournament. According to statistics, this year, the number of athletes has increased compared to last year. In particular, this year's tournament has been restarted to invite international athletes to participate, aiming to gradually raise the level of the tournament in the following years. When qualified, it will be upgraded from a national tournament to an international tournament.
Also on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Phuoc Long Liberation Day (January 6, 1975), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Phuoc province will hold a celebration ceremony on the evening of January 5, 2025 at 6/1 Square, Phuoc Long Town Administrative Center with the participation of about 1,500 people. At the ceremony, the Party Committee, government and people of Phuoc Long Town were also honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal awarded by the President and will end with a brilliant fireworks display, welcoming the event and the new year 2025.
