What's happening to Hendrio?

After the last day of registering additional players for the second phase of the V-League , Hendrio 's future was finally decided. The former U.16 Barca midfielder did not move to Binh Dinh Club as previously rumored and was not registered to play by Nam Dinh Club. This means that the player born in 1993 will become an unwilling spectator of the V-League for the rest of the season.

Hendrio's failure to play in the second phase of the V-League has made him endlessly sad. This season, he has played 8 matches, scoring 3 goals and 3 assists in the V-League. Last season, he also contributed greatly to the championship victory of the team from Thanh Nam with 10 goals and 12 assists. Thanks to that, he is in the top 3 nominees for the title of Best Foreign Player in 2024.

Hendrio himself has also been actively studying Vietnamese for over 2 years with the desire to obtain Vietnamese citizenship so he can play for the Vietnamese national team . Therefore, many fans feel sorry that Hendrio cannot play, which may affect his performance.

Determined to stay in Vietnam

Not being able to play in the remaining V-League will certainly affect Hendrio's performance a lot. If he were in the same situation as the midfielder born in 1993, many foreign players would choose to move to another league to play football. However, the former Binh Dinh Club player is still determined to stay in Vietnam.

Hendrio shared with Thanh Nien Newspaper: "I am disappointed and very sad because I was not registered to compete. I also do not understand the reason why this happened. But one thing is for sure, I will try my best, practice hard to maintain the highest form, to have the strongest comebacks."

He added: "I love Vietnam so I have no plans to move to another league. I have the opportunity to have Vietnamese citizenship next year and I am extremely excited about that. I love Vietnam, and it would be great if I could show my love by contributing to the Vietnamese team. It would be a great pride and happiness if I could do that."

Currently, Hendrio is still in Nam Dinh. He still trains with his teammates and works hard alone, while also following a strict diet and lifestyle to maintain his best physical condition and form.
