Receiving Greek Ambassador Antonios Papakostas, President Luong Cuong thanked Greece for being one of the early partners to ratify the Vietnam – EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA). The trade relations between the two countries have seen many positive developments. However, investment cooperation remains at a very modest level compared to the potential in the fields of economics, trade and investment between the two countries.

The President asked the Ambassador to promote measures to enhance bilateral cooperation, helping to promote the signing of a number of cooperation agreements in areas of mutual interest.

The President asked Greece to help push other EU countries to soon ratify EVIPA, and support and push the EC to soon remove the IUU yellow card for Vietnamese seafood.

The Greek Ambassador said that although he had just arrived in Vietnam, he had felt the affection that the Vietnamese State and people had for him.

He hopes that during his term he will contribute to further promoting the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries.

Receiving Colombian Ambassador Camila Maria Polo Flores, President Luong Cuong shared about the process of building and developing the country over the past 40 years.

The President was pleased with the positive development of bilateral relations, especially in economics and trade.

Colombia successfully hosted the Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit in 2024. The President wished that Colombia would cooperate closely with Vietnam to successfully host P4G 2025.

The Colombian Ambassador highly appreciated the cooperation between the two countries in recent times and thanked Vietnam for supporting Colombia in the process of building peace and development.

Ambassador Camila Maria Polo Flores said that during this term, she will further promote bilateral relations, especially coordinating with Vietnamese agencies to organize the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The Ambassador said that President Gustavo Petro and the Colombian people admire and have closely followed Vietnam's development in recent years; and believe that Vietnam is a reliable partner in the region and the world.

As a developing country, Colombia is ready to cooperate with Vietnam in new fields such as artificial intelligence and clean energy; and support Vietnam at multilateral and international forums.

Receiving Panamanian Ambassador Nubiela Ayala Modes, the President appreciated the Panamanian Government for sending the Ambassador - who has lived in Vietnam for many years, has a good understanding of customs and practices, and has special feelings for the Vietnamese people, to act as an important bridge in the relationship between the two countries.

Vietnam and Panama have a traditional friendship, solidarity and excellent mutual support.

The President affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to Panama's role and position in Central America and Latin America; wishes to consolidate the good traditional friendship, enhance political trust, and improve the effectiveness of cooperation, especially in economics, trade, investment, culture, and people-to-people exchange.

Ambassador Nubiela Ayala Modes is impressed by Vietnam's long-standing culture and always has special feelings for Vietnam, where she used to live and work.

The Ambassador affirmed that during his term, he will make every effort to promote the traditional friendship and effective cooperation between the two countries, especially in politics, economics, trade and investment.

The Ambassador hopes that the two sides will continue to expand further areas of cooperation, in accordance with the potential and strengths of each side.

Speaking at the ceremony to receive credentials from the concurrent ambassadors from Liberia; the Democratic Republic of Congo; the Republic of Congo; Burundi; Portugal; and Tanzania, the President affirmed that this event marks a new milestone in the development of relations between Vietnam and these countries.

The President said that in 2025, Vietnam will celebrate the 80th anniversary of its founding and the 50th anniversary of national reunification. Vietnam has established diplomatic relations with 194 countries and has strategic partnerships and comprehensive partnerships with 34 countries around the world.

Vietnam is standing at a new historical starting point, "a new era, an era of rising up to develop richly and prosperously for the Vietnamese people". Vietnam is determined to realize development goals by 2030, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and by 2045, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the country, making Vietnam a developed, high-income country.

Vietnam consistently implements a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation and development, diversification and multilateralization of foreign relations. Vietnam is a friend, reliable partner and an active, responsible member of the international community.

The President hopes that the Ambassadors will work with Vietnam to further explore cooperation potential; increase delegation exchanges; share experiences in the development process; and promote economic, trade and investment cooperation.
