With a value of more than 1 billion VND/station, in 2024, Viettel Thai Nguyen will install 95 5G broadcasting stations in Thai Nguyen, Pho Yen, Song Cong cities and the centers of some districts in Thai Nguyen province. Using the 5G network brings outstanding convenience to users, which is transmitting large capacity data very quickly, in just a few seconds.
According to the leader of Viettel Thai Nguyen, by 2025 Viettel will install and broadcast 300 5G stations in the province, focusing on installation in industrial parks, clusters, urban areas, universities, hospitals, densely populated areas, with a coverage radius of each station of about 500m.
To promote the installation of 5G broadcasting stations, Viettel Thai Nguyen actively consolidates existing infrastructure such as poles, station houses, upgrades power supply infrastructure; closely coordinates with local authorities, industrial zones and clusters to bury fiber optic infrastructure, clear land for the construction of new stations; propagates and mobilizes people to install poles on rooftops because electromagnetic waves do not affect health.
