The festival brought to the people and visitors elaborate and emotional art performances; unique and eye-catching traditional costumes. Visitors were immersed in the festival space associated with the spiritual life and beliefs of ethnic minorities through the skillful and talented performances of artisans; and experienced typical traditional sports. All the most unique treasures from villages and hamlets across the country shined in the "sacred land" of Quang Tri, leaving many emotions and good impressions in the hearts of the public.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Nhung, Director of the Department of Ethnic Culture, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Festival affirmed that the Festival with melodies and sounds, rich in cultural identity of ethnic minorities from 16 provinces and cities, helps people and tourists to better understand, love, appreciate and preserve cultural heritages. The Festival is a connecting thread, building solidarity between localities, artisan groups, and mass actors of the provinces. This is an opportunity for the cultural identity of ethnic groups to be spread, artisans to share experiences; at the same time, it is also a recognition by the Party and State of the efforts of localities, especially artisans, in preserving and promoting the fine cultural identity of ethnic groups.
At the closing ceremony, 22 groups and 7 individuals with many achievements in the organization of the Festival were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; 12 groups and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the People's Committee of Quang Tri province. The Organizing Committee announced awards for cultural and tourism activities such as: Traditional costume performance of ethnic groups; Mass cultural and artistic festival; Exhibition space to introduce and promote traditional cultural products; Display, processing and introduction of traditional culinary culture of ethnic groups... In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to delegations with high achievements in sports competitions at the festival. Accordingly, the First Prize went to the Dak Lak Province Mass Athletes Delegation. The Second Prize was awarded to the provinces: Bac Giang, Son La and Quang Nam. The Third Prize went to the provinces: Lang Son, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Quang Ngai. Vinh Phuc, Thua Thien - Hue provinces and Da Nang city received the Encouragement prize for the whole delegation.
The 2024 Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival has the participation of 1,500 artisans, actors, and athletes from 16 provinces and cities across the country. Within the framework of the Festival, many rich and unique cultural, tourism, and sports activities took place, such as: Opening art program; Mass art festival; Traditional ethnic costume performance; Performance and introduction of festival excerpts, traditional cultural rituals of local ethnic groups; Exhibition space to introduce and promote the culture and traditional cuisine of ethnic groups...
The festival ended with many deep impressions in the hearts of each citizen and tourist, truly becoming a practical cultural activity to honor the good traditional cultural values, preserve and promote the cultural identity of Vietnamese ethnic minorities in the unified and diverse culture of the community of 54 ethnic groups. The activity contributed to promoting the diverse culture of Vietnamese ethnic minorities, promoting understanding, increasing recognition of the unique identity of each region's culture, making our country a notable highlight on the global cultural map with its own unique features.
