In 2023, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations focused on effectively implementing their tasks and achieved many positive results. Propaganda and mobilization work was carried out in many flexible forms, suitable to the residential areas. Patriotic emulation movements and campaigns continued to be widely deployed and brought many results. Activities to care for and support the poor, policy beneficiaries, and meritorious people were promptly deployed; especially the implementation of building 5,000 solidarity houses for poor households, which created a great impact on Dien Bien province in particular and the whole country in general. By the end of December 2023, 4,888 households had completed house construction, 112 households were building houses.
Participation in Party building and government building has received attention and achieved many results; supervision and social criticism work has been improved in both quantity and quality. During the year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels chaired 133 supervision meetings; coordinated with other levels and sectors to participate in supervision of 351 meetings; organized 17 social criticism meetings; coordinated the organization of 1,503 meetings between National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels with voters...
The conference heard the announcement of the results of implementing the tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in 2023; directions and tasks in 2024; results of implementing the Coordination Regulation between the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial People's Committee in the past year.
Regarding the coordination and action program for 2024, the conference agreed to focus on implementing 5 key tasks: Promoting democracy, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people; supervising and providing social criticism, participating in building a strong Party and government... The conference also conducted consultations to elect additional and replace 2 members of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, term XII, 2019 - 2024.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Mua A Son acknowledged and commended the results achieved by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the past year; at the same time, pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in the work of the front.
To successfully implement the goals and targets of 2024, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels to step up propaganda and mobilize union members, members and people to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and the State's laws and policies; complete the Project to mobilize support for building great solidarity houses for poor households in the province. Focus on improving the quality of social supervision and criticism. Strengthen people's foreign affairs activities; do a good job of preparing and successfully organizing the 13th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029...
On this occasion, the Prime Minister awarded a Certificate of Merit to 1 individual of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front awarded the Commemorative Medal "For the cause of great national unity" to 62 individuals of Dien Bien province who have made outstanding contributions to the cause of great national unity; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag to 1 collective, and awarded Certificates of Merit to 28 collectives and 40 individuals.
