On the morning of January 14, the Standing Committee of the Catholic Solidarity Committee (CSC) of Thanh Hoa province held a conference to review activities in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. Attending the conference were Priest Tran Xuan Manh, non-professional Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the CSC of Vietnam, Chairman of the CSC of Thanh Hoa province; leaders of the provincial CSC, representatives of provincial departments and branches, members of the CSC of the province, heads of CSCs of districts, towns and cities.

In 2024, Catholics in the province have well implemented the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, the Doctrines and Canon Laws, and actively responded to patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, such as: Implementing Directive 22-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on supporting housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in the two years 2024-2025; the movement "For the poor, no one is left behind; program "Tet for the poor"... The Provincial Committee for the Poor and Caritas Thanh Hoa organized many charitable activities worth more than 23 billion 400 million VND, repaired and built 48 charity houses... Catholics in parishes and religious communities have been diligent and creative in production labor, actively applied advanced science, technology and high technology to production, transformed the structure of crops and livestock, formed farms and ranches for high economic efficiency, and created jobs for many workers.

The Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee co-chaired the conference.

In general, the activities of the Provincial and District Catholic Religious Committees have many practical and meaningful activities. The focus is on propaganda and mobilization of Catholics to implement the Party's policies, the State's laws and policies, the Law on Beliefs and Religions, etc.; mobilize Catholics to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Catholic Religious Committee, especially the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, live a good life and follow the religion" associated with building the model of "Peaceful parishes and parishes, cultural families".

The District-level Catholic Religious Committee, parishioners, and congregations joined hands to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas, with typical examples such as: Catholics in Nga Son district contributed working days and more than 3 billion VND to build new rural areas, supporting 2 households to build houses according to Directive No. 22-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; Catholics in Tho Xuan district supported 1.2 billion VND to build and repair houses according to Directive 22-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee...

At the conference, delegates analyzed the achieved results, pointed out shortcomings and limitations, and discussed key solutions to implement the tasks in 2025.

Priest Tran Xuan Manh, non-professional Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee presented certificates of merit to collectives and individuals.

On this occasion, the Provincial Catholic Ethnic Council approved the Plan to organize the Patriotic Emulation Congress to commend good people and good deeds among Catholics in Thanh Hoa province, period 2020-2025, which will be held in April 2025; commend and reward 2 collectives and 15 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Good life, beautiful religion" in 2024.
