At the same time, this fee will help improve service quality, safety and comfort for tourists by developing road - sea - air infrastructure in an integrated and connected direction.

The tax will be applied to foreign tourists visiting Bali. Some of the exemptions include: Diplomatic and official passport holders; air crew and sea crew; holders of the Indonesian Temporary Residence Card (KITAS) or Indonesian Permanent Residence Card (KITAP); holders of family reunification visas, golden visas or student visas; and those issued with other types of visas other than tourism.

Bali authorities advise tourists to pay this tax before arriving in Bali through the official Bali tourism website: https://lovebali.baliprov.go.id or through the LoveBali smart application.
