The aim of this cooperation is to enhance passenger experience, meet the growing demand for transportation between the two countries, and promote sustainable development in the aviation industry.
According to Mr. Le Hong Ha - General Director of Vietnam Airlines, this cooperation will create both immediate benefits and long-term values for both airlines. Vietnam Airlines wishes to continue to maintain and further develop cooperation opportunities in many other areas such as services, technical maintenance, cargo transportation, etc. on the basis of mutual benefit.
“This partnership not only brings benefits to both sides but also contributes to strengthening cooperation within the SkyTeam Alliance, an organization of which Vietnam Airlines and Garuda Indonesia are both core members. This cooperation also helps promote the development of the air transport industry and trade and connectivity between Vietnam and Indonesia,” said Mr. Le Hong Ha.
Mr. Irfan Setiaputra - General Director of Garuda Indonesia said, as two leading airlines in the region, Garuda Indonesia and Vietnam Airlines share the same vision: to provide world-class services and expand travel options for customers. By combining the two airlines' connectivity networks, this cooperation will provide passengers with easy access to destinations across Indonesia and Vietnam, while promoting tourism, trade and cultural exchange. This partnership also strengthens the position of both airlines in the international aviation market.
For many years, the Indonesian tourism market has always been considered the largest in Southeast Asia with the 4th largest population in the world. Indonesia is famous for its beautiful natural landscapes, from famous beaches such as Bali, Lombok to natural heritages such as the Sumatra rainforest and volcanoes in Java.
These destinations not only attract tourists by their wild beauty but also offer unique cultural and adventure experiences, helping Indonesia become one of the top tourist destinations in the region and the world.
On the other hand, Vietnam is also a rapidly developing tourist destination, attracting international visitors thanks to its diverse natural landscapes and rich culture.
From the majestic beauty of Ha Long Bay in the North, to the ancient town of Hoi An in the Central and the vibrant Ho Chi Minh City in the South, Vietnam offers visitors a wide range of travel experiences. In addition, its long-standing culture, diverse cuisine and hospitable people further increase the attractiveness of Vietnam on the international tourism map.
The strategic cooperation between Vietnam Airlines and Garuda Indonesia promises to not only promote the development of the aviation and tourism industries of both countries but also contribute to strengthening the economic and cultural relationship between Vietnam and Indonesia, creating a solid foundation for further steps in the future.
