As a locality with a rich revolutionary tradition, the fact that the Dien Ban town government cut the ribbon to inaugurate and hand over the two "National Flag Road" projects on the roads leading to the Memorial House of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thu and the house of the parents of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Van Troi in Dien Thang Trung ward is even more meaningful to the people here.
Walking on the streets of Thanh Quyt 4, Thanh Quyt 2... is the scene of clean and beautiful village roads and alleys. Along both sides of the road are rows of green trees and flower beds competing to show off their colors.
In particular, the image of the red flag with yellow star fluttering in the wind has added color to the revolutionary countryside of Dien Thang Trung. Every two months, the Dien Thang Trung ward Youth Union and the youth union members of the blocks organize maintenance to ensure that the project is always in the most perfect condition.
Mr. Truong Cong Phat - Head of Thanh Quyt 4 block shared: "As a land rich in revolutionary tradition, the placement of the "National Flag Road" leading to the house of the father of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Van Troi has great significance, especially in arousing a deep love for the homeland. Every time we walk on the National Flag Road, we are proud and reminded of the sacrifice of Mr. Troi so that today's generation can have a prosperous and happy life".
Small model big meaning
For a long time, people have been hanging the national flag on major national holidays, but it has not been done in a systematic manner in each residential area, so it has not met the requirements of aesthetics and solemnity.
From that reality, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Trung commune coordinated with the People's Committee of the commune to launch the model "National Flag Road", cadres and people joined forces to attach belts and hang flags in a uniform and aesthetic manner. This is an extremely meaningful activity to practically celebrate the important holidays of the nation.
Mr. Pham Phu Long - Chairman of Dien Trung Commune People's Committee said that the "National Flag Road" model was actively responded to and participated in by party members, cadres and a large number of people.
Up to now, most of the roads in Dien Trung commune have been installed with belts and hung with national flags right in front of the family gates, ensuring uniformity and aesthetics.
Dien Trung Commune also summarized and awarded 2 first prizes and 2 second prizes to groups and 8 individuals in the "National Flag Road" decoration contest in 2025.
“In the coming time, the locality will widely propagate to organizations and people in the commune to continue implementing the model on new routes. Thereby creating a strong change in people's awareness and perception of hanging the national flag on holidays, New Year and important events of the country and locality to multiply national pride" - Mr. Pham Phu Long said.
Building the "National Flag Road" in Dien Ban is a good way to attract participation and spread patriotism among the people.
In particular, during the implementation process, the Front Committees, People's Committees, and mass organizations in residential areas in the town have coordinated well and have always been the core forces in propaganda and mobilization. Thereby creating consensus among the people to voluntarily contribute to the construction of the national flag road, clearly demonstrating the motto of the State and the people working together.
With the meaning of serving the decoration and propaganda work on holidays and Tet, in the coming time, Dien Ban Town Youth Union will continue to research and expand the model of "National Flag Road" to communes and wards in the town. From there, it will effectively carry out the work of educating traditions and promoting the pioneering and volunteering role of Dien Ban youth to join hands in the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", creating beauty on the streets and country roads. At the same time, it will contribute to educating patriotism and revolutionary ideals for the younger generation.
