On February 7, Hanoi's irrigation enterprises continued to operate 165 pumping stations (358 units), with a total capacity of 530,000 m3/hour, focusing on taking and storing water to ensure water sources for spring crop production.
Deputy Head of the Hanoi Department of Irrigation and Disaster Prevention and Control Dao Quang Khai said that the second water intake for the 2025 Spring crop will begin at 0:00 on February 8. The drought prevention period will last until 24:00 on February 14, 2025 (7 days).
During this time, the Hanoi agricultural sector requested irrigation companies to strengthen their water supply work at irrigation works; as soon as conditions are met, they must operate pumping stations and water intake gates along the Da River, Red River, and Duong River to bring water to the fields to serve the 2025 Spring rice planting.
