On the afternoon of March 13, within the framework of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2025, the "Vietnam Specialty Coffee Roasting 2025" competition found its champion.
The Vietnam Amazing Roast Master 2022, organized by the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association, is an event of interest to the domestic and international coffee community.
Professional coffee roasting process at the competition, where each coffee bean is carefully cared for.
This is a specialized competition organized on a national scale to create a "playground" for the coffee community and gradually form a team of international-class professional coffee roasters, especially in specialty coffee roasting.
In the final round, contestants will take a test on roasting finished products for pour over and filter coffee. In this test, contestants must mix the ratio of Arabica and Robusta coffee to produce the best product.
Contestant Ta Tuan Anh is roasting coffee (Champion of the 2025 Vietnam Specialty Coffee Roasting Competition).
Therefore, by participating in this competition, roasters not only play a role in illuminating the flavor but also convey it to consumers as well as know how to evaluate the results of their roasted products.

After 4 days of serious work, the jury selected 6 candidates with the highest scores to honor.
In which: first prize belongs to contestant Ta Tuan Anh (Ho Chi Minh City); second prize is awarded to contestant Nguyen Huong (Dak Nong); third prize belongs to contestant Le Duc Manh (Dak Lak province) and three consolation prizes belong to contestants: Phan Hong Phong (Quang Tri province), Ho Hoang Minh Thang (Kon Tum province) and Mai Hoang Phat (Ho Chi Minh City)
Contestant Ta Tuan Anh - Champion of the 2025 Vietnam Specialty Coffee Roasting Competition - received the cup and certificate of merit from the Organizing Committee.
The best contestants of the coffee roasting competition took souvenir photos with the judges and the organizing committee.
According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the regulations of the 2025 Vietnam Specialty Coffee Roasting Competition have some differences compared to international roasting competitions to match the reality of Vietnamese coffee, which are: using Vietnamese Robusta coffee; contestants must practice pouring over and phin brewing and must be proficient in the following skills: evaluating the quality of green coffee beans, roasting, brewing, and evaluating the quality of drinking coffee.
Coffee quality is assessed at the competition according to new regulations issued by the Specialty Coffee Association - SCA.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Trinh Duc Minh, Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association, said that the 2025 Vietnam Specialty Coffee Roasting Competition is one of the highlight activities in the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, contributing to realizing the goal: "Buon Ma Thuot - the destination of world coffee".
Mr. Trinh Duc Minh - Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association - spoke at the coffee roasting competition award ceremony.
This is also the next journey that those who are passionate about the coffee industry want to aim for, to affirm that Vietnam not only produces specialty coffee but also knows how to use and consume deeply processed specialty coffee.
