The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has just decided not to hold the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year to use the funds to support people in flood-hit areas.
Previously, the school planned to hold the opening ceremony for the 2024-2025 school year on the morning of September 27. At this point, all preparations have been carefully carried out and are almost complete. However, according to the school representative, in recent days, Typhoon Yagi and the floods caused by the storm's circulation have caused serious damage to people and property in the northern provinces, so sharing and supporting the community is more necessary at this time.
However, activities to welcome new students within the framework of the ceremony such as interactive space with businesses, awards, scholarship awards, skill sharing activities... will still take place.
The entire cost of organizing the opening ceremony, 100 million VND, will be transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. In addition, the school is also launching and calling on officials, employees and students to continue to contribute to support the program.
“Although we know this is always a special occasion in the hearts of every young person and new student, the school believes that this year's opening ceremony is truly meaningful. And the most important thing at this time is the tradition of solidarity and mutual love of "Humanists" - the school said.
The school leaders also hope that students, partners, employees, and parents will understand, sympathize, support, and accompany the school.
