Kinhtedothi - On the morning of November 16, Hanoi College of High Technology held a ceremony to celebrate its 15th anniversary, receive the Second Class Labor Medal, 42 years of Vietnamese Teachers' Day and open the 2024-2025 school year.
Attending the ceremony were Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong and leaders of a number of departments and branches of the City.
Speaking at the ceremony, the school's Principal - Associate Professor Pham Xuan Khanh reviewed the 15-year history. Overcoming many difficulties and hardships, from enrolling only 820 students with 9 training majors, Hanoi College of High Technology has now become one of the leading vocational training institutions in the country with 45 different training majors, a scale of up to more than 6,000 students and expected to reach 8,000 by 2025.
Over the past 15 years, teachers and students of the school have boldly innovated and pioneered in training high-quality human resources, affirming the school's prestige and leading position in the vocational education system of the capital and the whole country.
Praising and congratulating the school's achievements, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong assessed that the development of the network of universities and colleges in recent times, including Hanoi College of High Technology, has contributed to creating advantages for Hanoi.
The school not only provides high-quality human resources for the capital, but also for the country, participating in the international labor market. The school has been very proactive, daring to think, daring to do, creating many new models and methods in mobilizing resources for training and scientific research in the context of limited budget.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong suggested that in the coming time, the school should focus on training in key and spearhead industries such as AI, semiconductor technology, digital technology, high-tech agriculture, biotechnology, new material technology, mechanical engineering - automation, environmental technology, carbon emission reduction... to develop the school into a digital school, including a leading center for science and technology, innovation, research, development, and technology transfer in the country.
At the ceremony, authorized by the President, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to Hanoi College of High Technology.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals of the school also received awards from the City People's Committee; Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs...
Within the framework of the celebration, a cooperation agreement signing ceremony took place between the school and the units; the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Xtech-HHT Training Center took place.
