2023 performance
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ha, Director of the Legal Consulting Center - Khanh Hoa Provincial Lawyers Association reported on the operation situation in 2023 and the direction and tasks in 2024.
According to the report, the Center has 14 legal consultants and collaborators. In 2023 (from October 1, 2022 to November 30, 2023), the Consulting Center will directly consult 15 cases for 15 people.
Legal consulting areas include marriage and family; land; civil, inheritance disputes; administrative procedures; labor. Free consultation for 11 subjects. Implementation of out-of-court legal consulting contracts for division of property during marriage for 2 cases, division of inheritance in one case, and resolution of land disputes in one case.
During the year, the Center attended 2 seminars organized by the Central Government; 3 seminars to provide comments on the revised Land Law. In addition, a number of consultants and collaborators participated in providing comments on the law-making process on the central and local press and radio information systems. All comments were of high quality.

In addition, the Center has implemented a plan to disseminate the law to communes and wards in the province. Deploying the preparation work to draft an outline to disseminate legal documents that will take effect in 2023. During the year, the Chairman of the Lawyers Association, as a consultant, organized the dissemination of new laws to key officials in the whole province; key officials in Nha Trang City, Dien Khanh District, and Cam Lam District.
At the same time, coordinate with the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Police to organize legal propaganda for 24 prisoners serving prison sentences at the Provincial Police Detention Center; coordinate with Van Thanh Ward, Nha Trang City to organize legal propaganda on International Day of Happiness for the people with over 100 participants.
The Center has coordinated to organize 34 legal dissemination sessions in communes and wards for more than 2,000 participants (Van Ninh district: 3 communes and towns; Ninh Hoa town: 4 communes; Dien Khanh district: 3 communes; Nha Trang city: 14 communes and wards; Cam Lam district: 7 communes and towns; Cam Ranh city: 4 communes and wards; Khanh Son district: 2 communes and Khanh Vinh district: 2 communes).
The content of legal propaganda focuses on the basic content and new points of legal documents that will take effect in 2023 such as the Law on Democracy Implementation, the Law on Prevention of Human Trafficking, the Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence, the Law on Marriage and Family, the Law on Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse; inheritance regime according to the 2015 Civil Code.
In the first months of 2023, 7 legal consultants of the Center attended a training conference on propaganda of new laws that will take effect in 2023 organized by the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Lawyers Association. 3 consultants and collaborators attended a training course on environmental protection laws organized by the Vietnam Lawyers Association in Phu Yen.

Mission 2024
In addition to the achieved results, there are still some shortcomings and limitations such as the number of consultants participating in the implementation of tasks is still low; the coordination and use of consultants participating in legal aid tasks, and coordination with lawyers participating in litigation according to regulations are not much. In addition, the coordination and direction of some local authorities have not really paid due attention, and the idea of assigning tasks to the Center still exists, so the participation of people in some legal propaganda sessions is very limited.
In 2024, the Center will continue to strengthen and supplement legal consultants and collaborators, ensuring quality improvement; consultants regularly study effective legal documents to improve legal awareness.
At the same time, promote the implementation of legal consultancy work at the Center; carry out the tasks assigned by the Provincial Standing Committee on propaganda and dissemination of law during the year...
Also at the conference, delegates commented on some contents of the report; information on the situation of legal propaganda and support from local authorities; promoting the role of legal reporters; proposing support for communes in Van Ninh district in need of legal reporters...

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Xuan Than, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Lawyers Association, highly appreciated the results of the Center in 2023. At the same time, in order for legal consultancy to be implemented well, he requested that consultants must study the law, understand the field of consultancy, provide advice in accordance with legal regulations and grasp documents, records, papers, etc. to provide good advice to the people. In addition, consultants should try to promote their potential and strengths to participate in legal consultancy work.
