On the morning of January 13, the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat held a national conference to disseminate and implement breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. The conference was held in both in-person and online formats, attracting over 978,500 delegates nationwide.

Attending the conference at the National Assembly House (Hanoi) were General Secretary To Lam; former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; Politburo members: President Luong Cuong; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu; Politburo members, former Politburo members; Secretariat members, former Secretariat members; Party Central Committee members; alternate members of the Party Central Committee; leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and organizations.
Attending the conference at the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee headquarters were comrades: Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Tien Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, sectors and mass organizations of the province. The conference was connected to 325 connecting points across the province with nearly 18,200 cadres and party members of the province attending.

At the conference, delegates watched a documentary film on science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. The leader of the Central Organizing Committee announced the Politburo's decision to establish the Central Steering Committee on the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, and stipulated the functions, tasks and powers of the Steering Committee.
Comrade Thai Thanh Quy, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee, reported briefly on the situation and results of the implementation of the Party and State's guidelines and policies on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation in recent times; thoroughly grasping and implementing the spirit and core content of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
Comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member and Prime Minister, thoroughly grasped the content and spirit of the Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
Comrade Tran Thanh Man, Politburo member and Chairman of the National Assembly, thoroughly grasped the policy and solutions on legal institutions to make a breakthrough in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
General Secretary To Lam will give a speech at the conference.
Through the conference, it helps Party committees, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, cadres and party members raise awareness, make breakthroughs in innovation of thinking, determine strong political determination, resolutely lead and direct, create new momentum, new spirit in the whole society in developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, build an innovation ecosystem to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and creativity in society. On that basis, each locality, agency and unit builds breakthrough solutions to develop science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, contributing to making Vietnam develop faster, narrowing the gap with developed countries.
