BTO-People's Committee of Phan Ri Thanh commune, Bac Binh district has just organized the handover of a "Great Solidarity" house to Mr. Trinh Trong Khang in Binh Liem village, Phan Ri Thanh commune.
His circumstances were very difficult, he was old and weak but still lived in a charity house that was built more than 20 years ago, old and dilapidated, and collected scrap metal to make a living. His wife, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Mo, during the resistance war, was a member of the district committee, captain of the Liem Binh - Hoa Da Working Team (formerly), was captured and imprisoned by the enemy, and brutally tortured.
After liberation, she was the President of the Bac Binh Women's Association. Due to poor health and serious illness, she died early, leaving behind her husband and young daughter - the daughter was raised by a comrade. By chance, a former comrade came to visit and saw that the situation was too difficult, so he and his former comrades divided into 3 groups to mobilize the construction of a new house for the family, with a place to worship Mrs. Nguyen Thi Mo. In just a short time, the total amount of money mobilized reached nearly 282 million VND. Of which: Department of Justice 100 million VND, Fund for the Poor of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Binh district 30 million VND. Fund for the Poor of the commune 20 million VND. The rest belonged to comrades and other benefactors...
At the house handover ceremony, teammates, local authorities, and sponsors gave the family many practical and meaningful gifts.
