Attending the program were comrades: Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of Young Pioneers; Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Ngo Minh Hai, Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, emphasized that the participation of young people from many different ethnicities and religions has created a colorful picture, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, learning together, training and dedication of the city's youth. The festival will also continue to expand its scale and diversify its forms of cultural and artistic activities, meeting the increasing cultural enjoyment needs of the people and young people.

During more than 4 months of implementation, with the attention and regular direction of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the organization of the 5th Choir Festival was effectively implemented, attracting the participation of 37 units with more than 1,000 young people and students. This is also the year with the number of participating units doubling the last time it was held in 2021.

The 12 finalists have diverse content and forms, different choral songs, but the common point is still the spirit of "Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers", the spirit of "I love my Fatherland". The works presented are all songs of high artistic value, imbued with humanity, conveying meaningful messages about love for the homeland and country. From there, contributing to improving the level of musical aesthetics, the culture of enjoyment of the public, especially the young generation, helping to perceive the beauty of music and appreciate traditional cultural values.


The success of the 5th Choir Festival will create momentum for the general development of the cultural and artistic movement in the city, contributing to building a rich and healthy cultural and spiritual life for the people and youth.

In addition, the Festival Organizing Committee invited the Traditional Club of the City Youth Union, units of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ho Chi Minh City, and the Saigon Choir to participate in the performance exchange in the summary and award ceremony. Thereby, demonstrating the continuity of tradition from generation to generation, the diversity of ethnic and religious groups in the city, gathering young people to professionally perform the choir genre, contributing to the lives of the people with works that move audiences not only domestically but also internationally.


On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 gold medal, 3 silver medals, 4 bronze medals, 3 consolation prizes, 1 promising prize and 2 subsidiary prizes “Best Conductor” and “Most Favorite Choir Performance”. The gold medal belonged to the Vietnam Youth Union of Tan Binh District.
